NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the land in the below mentioned Schedule has been notified under section 4(1) and declaration
under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 vide G.O. Ms. No.76, dated 27-9-1995 and G.O. Ms. No.10, dated
14-2-1996 respectively of the Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Government of Puducherry for
acquisition for the public purpose i.e., for the housing schemes at Saram Revenue Village by the Pondicherry
Housing Board, Puducherry;
And whereas, the Government of Puducherry having satisfied that the land specified in the Schedule
were no more required for the abovesaid purpose and has decided to withdraw the acquisition proceedings;
Now therefore, in pursuance of sub-section (1) of section 48 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (Central
Act 1 of 1894), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby withdraws the acquisition proceedings initiated in
respect of the land involved in R.S. No. 301/6 in Saram Revenue Village, Puducherry as detailed in the Schedule
hereunder and consequently, the notification under section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 approved in
G.O. Ms. No.76, dated 27-9-1995 and published in the State Gazette No. 42, dated 17-10-1995 and the declaration
under section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 approved in G.O. Ms. No.10, dated 14-2-1996 and published
in the State Gazette No. 9, dated 27-2-1996 shall be treated as withdrawn in respect of the land mentioned
in the Schedule hereunder:
