NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to approve the

proposal to fix the cut-off date for determination of age of the

beneficiaries by the Department of Women and Child Development,

Puducherry under

the “Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes

Pension Rules, 2011” and for the said purpose hereby makes further

amendment to the “Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes Pension

Rules, 2011”, namely:—

AMENDMENT

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called

“The Puducherry Old Age Persons and Destitutes Pension (Second

Amendment) Rules, 2015”.

(2) They shall come into force on and from the date of their

publication in the official gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 7.— In rule 7 (1) of the Puducherry Old Age

Persons and Destitutes Pension Rules, 2011, the following shall be

inserted, namely:—

“1(a). All beneficiaries on roll will be fixed within the span of

respective age groups by calculation of their age as on 1st May 2015,

the effective date of enhancement of pension as cut-off date to

ensure uniformity and this method of calculation of age shall be

adhered to in subsequent years for disbursement of appropriate

quantum of pension.”

2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide

their U.O. No. 1331/F5/A2, dated 2-6-2015.
