NOTIFICATION
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to enhance the
income ceiling limit of families belonging to Economically Weaker
Sections (EWS) from ` 24,000 to ` 75,000 for availing grant of financial
assistance/incentives and for the said purpose, hereby makes the
following amendment to the "Scheme for Free Supply of Tools to Poor
Nadaswara, Thavil Issai Artisans of the Union territory of Puducherry 2004"
notified in G.O. Ms. No. 7/2004/Wel (SW-V), dated 12-2-2004 of the
Chief Secretariat (Welfare) (hereinafter referred to as the said rules)
namely :—

AMENDMENT
In the said rules, in sub-rule (a) of rule 4, the following shall be
substituted namely :—
"4. Eligibility :
(a) The annual income of the applicant or his parent/guardian
should not be more than ` 75,000 per annum. The income of the
parent/guardian will be taken into account only in cases where
the applicant is dependent on the parent/guardian and he has
no other source of income."
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department
vide their U.O. No. 3549/F5/A2, dated 05-03-2015.
3. This amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with
effect from 8-9-2014.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to enhance the
income ceiling limit of families belonging to Economically Weaker
Sections (EWS) from ` 24,000 to ` 75,000 for availing grant of financial
assistance/incentives and for the said purpose, hereby makes the

Washermen and Barbers in the Union territory of Puducherry" notified
in G.O. Ms. No. 38/2003-Wel (SW-V), dated 19-9-2003 of the
Chief Secretariat (Welfare) and published in the Gazette of Puducherry
vide No. 118, dated 22-10-2003 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules)
namely :—

In the said rules, in sub-rule (a) of rule 5, the following shall be
substituted namely :—
"5. Eligibility :
(a) The annual income of the applicant or his parent/guardian
should not be more than ` 75,000 per annum. The income of the
parent/guardian will be taken into account only in cases where
the applicant is dependent on the parent/guardian and he has
no other source of income."
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department
vide their U.O. No. 3549/F5/A2, dated 5-3-2015.
3. This amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with
effect from 8-9-2014.

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to enhance the
income ceiling limit of families belonging to Economically Weaker
Sections (EWS) from ` 24,000 to ` 75,000 for availing grant of financial
assistance/incentives and for the said purpose, hereby makes the
following amendment to the "Rules for Admission of Students in
Government Hostels for Backward Classes run by the Directorate of
Social Welfare, Puducherry” notified in G.O. Ms. No. 4/2009-Wel (SCW),
dated 2-3-2009 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare) and published in the
Gazette of Puducherry vide No. 8, dated 10-3-2009 (hereinafter referred
to as the said rules) namely :—

AMENDMENT
In the said rules, in sub-rule (a) of rule 3, the following shall be
substituted namely :—
"3. The annual income of the parents or guardian of the
students for admission to these hostels should not exceed
` 75,000 :
Provided that selection of boarders will be made in such a
way that a student whose parent’s / guardian’s income is less,
gets preference over the student whose parent’s/guardian’s
income is more.”
2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department
vide their U.O. No. 3549/F5/A2, dated 5-3-2015.
3. This amendment shall be deemed to have come into force with
effect from 8-9-2014.
