TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited for the purchase of the following old newspapers

in Tamil and English belonging to the Directorate of

Survey and Land Records, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry.

The rate should be quoted for each item as follows :

2. Tenders in sealed covers superscribed with the

words “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers”

should be addressed to the Director, Directorate of

Survey and Land Records, II Floor, Revenue Complex,

Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013 so as to reach

this office on or before 22-6-2015 at 10.00 a.m. and the

tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in

the presence of the tenderers, present.

3. If the above tender date is declared as a public

holiday by the Government, then the tender sale will be

conducted on the next working day of the above date

without any intimation.

4. The rate per kilogram should be quoted for Tamil

and English newspapers separately.

5. The intending tenderers can inspect the newspapers

during office hours on all working days between 4.00 p.m.

and 5.00 p.m. at the Directorate of Survey and Land

Records, II Floor, Revenue Complex, Kamaraj Salai,

Saram, Puducherry-605 013 with the permission of the

undersigned. The intending tenderers should deposit

an earnest money of ` 100 (Rupees one hundred only)

in cash alongwith the sealed tender. The earnest money

deposit collected from the unsuccessful tenderers will

be refunded immediately after the tender has been

selected.

6. The successful tenderer shall arrange to weigh the

old newspapers, pay the cost thereof alongwith applicable

sales tax and remove the old newspapers within 24 hours

from the time of the tender sale is over. On failure to

this arrangements, the earnest money deposit paid will

be forefeited. Also for the old newspapers which have

been disposed off after the due receipt or payment, this

department will not undertake any responsibility for any

loss or shortage or damage. On complete clearance the

earnest money deposit will be refunded.

7. The tenders received after the due date and time

will summarily be rejected.

8. The undersigned reserves the full right whether

to accept or reject any or all tenders without assigning

any reason.

9. In case of any dispute the decision of the Director

of Survey and Land Records, Puducherry will be final.

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram

(excluding slaes tax) are invited for the disposal of old

dailies (Mathrubhumi and Hindu) accumulated in the

Office of the Junior Town Planner, Town and Country

Planning Department, Sub-Office, Mahe.

2. The rate should be quoted per kilogram for the

following items separately.

3. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Junior Town Planner, Town and Country Planning

Department, Sub-Office, Mahe, duly superscribing on

the envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old

newspapers” and to reach the undersigned on or before

11.00 a.m. on 17-6-2015. The tenders will be opened at

12.00 noon on the same day in the presence of the

bidders present in the Office of the Junior Town

Planner, Town and Country Planning Department,

Sub-Office, Mahe.

4. The intending bidders should deposit an amount

of ` 100 (Rupees one hundred only) as earnest money

deposit in cash and will be refunded to the unsuccessful

bidders, after the acceptance of the highest tender/

finalization of the tender. Tenders without the abovesaid

earnest money deposit will not be taken into

consideration.

5. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

6. The successful bidder should pay the full amount

immediately as and when the call is made and clear the

old items within 2 days at his own risk and cost failing

which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

7. The intending bidders can see the articles during

office hours on any working day.

8. The successful bidder should make his own

arrangements for weighing the articles.

9. Sales tax will be collected extra as per the rate

applicable.

10. No claim on the quantity of the articles will be

admitted once the tender is finalized.

11. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.
