NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 74 of the
Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (Central Act No. 34 of 2006) read with
section 3 (zv) of the said Act and with the concurrence of the Hon’ble High Court
of Judicature at Madras, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry hereby constitute
the Court of Sessions specified in column (3) of the Table below to be the Special
Courts to exercise jurisdiction over the regions specified in column (5) for the
purpose of providing speedy trial of offences.
