NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to approve the

proposal to fix the cut-off date for determination of age of the

beneficiaries by the Department of Social Welfare, Puducherry for the

“Financial Assistance to the Differently Abled Persons Rules, 1992” and

for the stated purpose hereby makes further amendment to the said rules

namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called

“Financial Assistance to the Differently Abled Persons (Second

Amendment) Rules, 2015”.

(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of their

publication in the official gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 4.— In rule 4 of the “Financial Assistance

to the Differently Abled Persons Rules, 1992”, after clause (iii),

the following shall be inserted, namely:—

“All beneficiaries on roll will be fixed within the span of respective

age groups by calculation of their age as on 1st May 2015, the

effective date of enhancement of pension as cut-off date to ensure

uniformity and this method of calculation of age shall be adhered

to in subsequent years for disbursement of appropriate quantum

of pension.”

3. This issues with concurrence of the Finance Department vide

their U.O. No. 1344/F5/A2, dated 3-6-2015.
