NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Director of School Education,
Puducherry being the authority who proposed to apply
the fund donated by Tmt. V.P. Mohana, Lecturer (Retired),
Thiruvalluvar Government Girls’ Higher Secondary
School, Puducherry for charitable purposes has applied
for vesting of the funds mentioned in Schedule-A
annexed hereto to the Treasurer of Charitable
Endowments for Puducherry for the settlement of
a scheme for the administration of the said funds;
2. Now, therefore, upon the application for the vesting
of the fund as aforesaid, the Hon’ble Lieutenant-Governor,
Puducherry in exercise of the powers conferred by
sections 4 and 5 of the Charitable Endowments Act, 1890
(Central Act No. IV of 1890) hereby order that the
amount as set out in Schedule ‘A’ annexed hereto shall,
as from the date of publication of this notification, be
vested in the Treasurer of Charitable Endowments for
Puducherry to be held by him and his successors in
office (subject to provisions of the said Act and the
rules made thereunder) and to hold the said amount and
income thereof and accrual thereto in accordance with
the trust and terms as set out in the scheme annexed in
Schedule ‘B’ hereto for the administration of the said funds;
3. And further notified that the scheme as setforth in
Schedule ‘B' annexed hereto has, under sub-section (1)
of section 5 of the said Act, been settled for the
administration of the said funds and under sub-section (3)
of section 5 of the said Act and it is hereby further
ordered that it shall come into force with immediate effect.
SCHEDULE-A
A sum of ` 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only)
donated by Tmt. V. P. Mohana, a retired Lecturer of
Thiruvalluvar Government Girls’ Higher Secondary
School, Laporte Street, Puducherry residing at No. B2,
First Floor, No. 50 to 52, Bharathidasan Street,
Muthialpet, Puducherry- 605 003.
SCHEDULE-B
1. The funds shall be known as “Mohana Mohan
Trust” for Thiruvalluvar Government Girls’ Higher
Secondary School, Puducherry - 605 001.
2. The object of the funds shall be to distribute cash
awards from the interest accrued to the students of
Thiruvalluvar Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School,
Laporte Street, Puducherry-605 001, who secure 1st, 2nd
and 3rd rank in the Plus Two Public Examination every
year, provided that:
3. The amount of cash award shall be distributed in
the ratio of 5 : 3 : 2 to the first, second and third rank
students based on the total marks secured in the Higher
Secondary Public Examination in all the 6 subjects, i.e.,
grand total of 1,200 and not for any particular subject or
discipline. If more than one student has secured the
highest percentage of marks, the amount of cash award
shall be divided equally and paid to them.
4. The funds shall be constituted with the amount of
` 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) donated by
Tmt. V.P. Mohana, a retired Lecturer of Thiruvalluvar
Government Girls’ Higher Secondary School, Laporte
Street, Puducherry as mentioned in the Schedule ‘A’
and such other donation and contributions accruing to
the funds including the income from the interest of the
fund.
5. For the management and administration of the
fund, there shall be a General Committee constituted
with the following members, namely:-
(1) The Principal, Thiruvalluvar Government . . Chairman

Street, Puducherry (in the absence of
the Principal, the Director of School
Education).

6. Every matter will be decided in the meeting of the
General Committee provided that in case of urgency, the
decision may be taken by circulation of papers. Not less
than three members shall form a quorum. In case of ties,
the Chairman shall have a casting vote.
7. Subject to the provisions herein contained, the
General Committee may frame and vary from time to
time, as they think fit rules and bye-laws for the conduct
of their business and for the regulation, management
and for any other purpose connected with the execution
of the funds.
8. The corpus of the fund shall be vested in the
Treasurer of the Charitable Endowment for the Union
territory of Puducherry.
9. The General Committee shall invest all amounts or
property not immediately required to be used for the
objects of the fund in any one or more the modes of
investment for the time being authorised by law for
investment of trust amounts as the General Committee
may think proper. Only the interest accruing from the
fund shall be utilised for the distributing prizes as
mentioned in clause 2 above.
10. The General Committee concerned may delegate
to one or more of its members such of their powers as,
in the opinion of the committee are merely ministerial
acts and involve no discretion or are necessary and
conformable by common usage.
11. Regular accounts of the amounts in the fund
shall be kept by the Treasurer in the General Committee
of the fund and shall be audited by the Examiner of
Local Funds, Puducherry.
12. All contracts and other assurances and other
instruments shall be in the name of the General
Committee and signed on their behalf by the Treasurer.
13. The General Committee may receive any
endowment, donation or other contributions in the
augmentation of any of the objects and general purpose
of the fund. They may also receive endowments,
donations or other contributions for any special
purposes connected with the charity not inconsistent
with or calculated to impede the due working of the
provisions of the scheme.

The educational qualifications, age, reservation and other requirements for admission are given in the
prospectus.
Application form :
Prescribed application forms/prospectus can be obtained from the Principals of
Government Industrial Training Institutes concerned at Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe and Yanam from 6-7-2015 on
payment of ` 10 (Rupees ten only) by remitting money orders or in person at these Institutes. Candidates desires
of receiving the application by post should send a requisition letter with a self-addressed envelope of size 23 x 10 cm.
with ` 10 postage stamp affixed thereon along with the money order receipt (Postal Order shall not be accepted).
Application forms complete in all respects together with the attested copies of the relevant certificates
should be submitted to the Principal, Government Industrial Training Institutes concerned at Puducherry/Karaikal/
Mahe / Yanam, so as to reach them not later than 5.00 p.m. on 17-7-2015.
Incomplete and belated applications shall be summarily rejected without any intimation.
Applications received from other State candidates shall not be entertained.

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are
invited for the sale of following old items of this
institution.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the
Vice-Principal, Thiruvalluvar Government Higher
Secondary School, Ambagarathur, Karaikal duly
superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for purchase
of
old newspapers” and shall be received on or
before 16-7-2015 up to 10.0 0 a . m. The tenders will
be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. in the
presence of the tenderers who are present.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a
sum o f
` 50 0 (Rupees five h u n d r e d only) as
earnest money deposit.
4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be refunded immediately after the
tender is over.
5. Tenders received after the due date and time will
be rejected.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the full
amount immediately and remove the articles from
the office premises within 24 hours at his own cost
and risk failing which he will forfeit his earnest
money deposit.
7. No claim about the quantity and quality of the
items will be admitted once the tender is finalised.
8. The intending tenderers can inspect the articles
during the office hours on 13-7-2015 in this institution.
9. Sales tax will be collected as per rules if
necessary.
10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept
or reject any tender without assigning any reason
thereof.
