TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE
Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are
invited for the sale of following old newspapers
(Malayalam and English) belonging to the Office of
the Assistant Director of Fisheries and Fishermen
Welfare, Mahe as detailed below:

2. The rate per kilogram for each item has to be
quoted separately.
3. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed as
“Tender for purchase of old newspapers” should be
addressed to the Assistant Director of Fisheries and
Fishermen Welfare, Mahe and should reach this
office on or before 3-8-2015 at 3.30 p. m. The tenders
will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in the
presence of the tenderers, if any at the office of the
undersigned.
4. Based on the highest quoting rate on sealed
tender, open auction will be conducted immediately.
5. The intending tenderers should deposit a
sum o f
` 20 0 (Rupees two h u n d r e d only) as
earnest money deposit which will be refundable to
the unsuccessful tenderers after the auction is over.
6. Tenders received after the due date and time
and without earnest money deposit will be rejected.
7. The successful tenderer should pay the total
cost of old newspapers with sales tax immediately
a nd t he items should be removed from the office
premises wi t h i n 24 hours at his own expenses,
failing which the earnest money deposit will be
forfeited to the Government.
8. Sales tax will be charged as prescribed by the
Government.
9. No claim about the quantity, quality and value
of the sold goods will be admitted once the auction
is over.
10. The intending
tenderers can inspect the
articles on any working day during the office hours.
11. The undersigned reserves the right to accept
or reject any or all tenders without assigning any
reason therefor. If the tender date falls on a holiday,
the tenders will be received and opened by the same
time on next working day.
12. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
undersigned will be final.

belonging to the Department of Women and Child
Development, Puducherry for a period of one year from
1-8-2015 to 31-7-2016.
2. The rate should be quoted for each item as follows:

3. T he i nt e nd in g tenderers can inspect the
old newspapers on 28-7-2015 and 29-7-2015 between
3.00 p.m. and 5.00 p.m. in the following offices attached
with this Directorate:
(i)
ICDS-I, Municipal Shopping Complex, Main Road,
Villianur.
(ii)
ICDS-III, 13, Sorna Nagar, Ariankuppam,
Puducherry.
(iii)
ICDS-IV, Mahatma Gandhi Road, Muthialpet,
Puducherry.
(iv)
Hostel for Working Women, Rajaji Nagar,
Puducherry-605 008.
(v)
Directorate of Women and Child Development,
Pondicherry Housing Board Building (Opposite
to LIC Office), New Saram, Puducherry-605 013.
4. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed as
“Tender for purchase of old newspapers (Tamil and
English)” should be addressed to the Senior Accounts
Officer, Pondicherry Housing Board Building (Opposite
to LIC Office, New Saram, Puducherry), Department of
Women and Child Development, Puducherry-605 013,
so as to reach on or before 11.00 a.m. on 31-7-2015. The
tenders will be opened at 11.30 a.m. on the same day in
the presence of tenderers present. The tenderer who
quote the highest rate will be the successful bidder and
the tender will be finalised in his favour.
5. The intending tenderer should deposit an earnest
money of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only). The
earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful bidders will
be refunded after finalising the tenders and that of the
successful bidder will be retained till the period of tender
as security deposit. The successful bidder has to collect
the available old newspapers at the finalised rate from
this Directorate and the Sub-offices.
6. Further, the successful bidder has to pay the cost
in full and lift the newspapers at the agreed rate at his
own expenses at 4 spells within the period of tender
failing which the earnest money deposit, will once and
forever be forfeited in favour of the Government and
the concerned tenderer will be lose the right of removal
of the items.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any
or all tenders without assigning any reason. Any
contravention of the rules of tender notice will result
in the forfeiture of the earnest money deposit.
8. No claim about the quantity, quality and the value
of the sold goods will be admitted. The removal of items
shall be only during office working hours.
9. VAT/Sales tax will be collected as per existing rates.
10. The successful tenderer should make his own
arrangements to weigh the old newspapers subject to
the satisfaction of the undersigned or his nominee in
regard to weighment.
