NOTIFICATION
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to enhance the
quantum of financial assistance granted to the Inter-Caste Married
Couples and for the said purpose hereby makes the following further
amendments to the scheme “Incentive for Inter-Caste Marriage” notified
vide G.O. Ms. No. l3/79/HEW,(HW), dated 31-1-1979 of the Health,
Electricity and Works Department, Puducherry and published in the
Gazette No. 8, dated 20-2-1979 (hereinafter referred to as the said rules),
namely:—

AMENDMENT
In the said rules,—
(i) in rule 2, for the words and figures “` 50,000” thereof, the words
and figures “` 1,00,000” shall be substituted;
(ii) for rule 3, the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“3. The amount of `1,00,000 referred to in rule 2 shall be
apportioned as follows:
(iii) Gift to the couple for purchasing
household material, etc.,

(iv) Small Savings Certificate in the joint
name of husband and wife as gift
. .
` 60,000
Total
. .
` 1,00,000
(iii) in rule 6, for the words and figures “` 20 ,000 ” and
“` 30,000”, the words and figures “` 40,000” and “` 60,000” shall be
substituted respectively.
2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with
effect from 8-8-2015.
3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department
vide their U.O. No. l808/F5/A2, dated 29/31-7-2015.

NOTIFICATION
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to enhance the
quantum of financial assistance for performance of marriage of poor
Scheduled Caste Brides and for the said purpose hereby makes further
amendments to the “Rules for Grant of Financial Assistance for
Performance of Marriage of Poor Scheduled Caste Brides, 1991”, notified
in G.O. Ms. No. 51/91-Wel.(SCW-I), dated 15th November 1991 of the
Chief Secretariat (Welfare and Transport), Puducherry and published in
the Extraordinary Gazette No. 21, dated 21st November 1991 (hereinafter
referred to as the said rules), namely:—
AMENDMENT
In the said rules:-
(i) In rule 4 for the words, figures and brackets, “` 25,000
(Rupees twenty-five thousand only)”, the words, figures and
brackets, “` 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only)” shall be
substituted.
(ii) In Form No. VI prescribed under rule 5(5) for the words,
figures and brackets “` 25,000 (Rupees twenty-five thousand
only)”, the words, figures and brackets “` 50,000 (Rupees fifty
thousand only)” shall be substituted.
2. This notification shall be deemed to have come into force with
effect from 1-4-2015
3. This issues with the approval of the Finance Department,
Puducherry vide their U.O. No. 1623/F5/A2, dated 22/23-7-2015
