NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to approve the

proposal for modification of the capacity of the insulated (ice) box and

for the said purpose hereby amends the scheme for “Grant of 100%

subsidy for purchase of insulated (ice) box” to fish vendors in the

existing scheme “Puducherry Development of Shore Based Facilities,

Ice Plants, Service Unit, Infrastructural Facilities and Quick Transport

Facilities Rules, 2010” (hereinafter referred to as the scheme) notified

vide G.O. Ms. No. 3/Fy., dated 23-1-2015 of Chief Secretariat (Fisheries)

and published in the Gazette of Puducherry Extraordinary, Part-II,

No. 5, dated 28th January 2015 as follows:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) This scheme may be called

scheme for "Grant of 100% subsidy for purchase of insulated (ice) box"

to fish vendors in the existing scheme rules "Puducherry Development

of Shore Based Facilities, Ice Plants, Service Unit, Infrastructural

Facilities and Quick Transport Facilities (Amendment) Rules, 2015".

(ii) It shall come into force with effect from the date of

publication of this notification in the official gazette.

AMENDMENT

In the said scheme, in para 2, under the heading objective, for the

words and letters thereof, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“2. Objective.— The scheme is intended to provide quality and

hygienic fish to the consumers besides giving value addition to

fish products.

The insulated (ice) box proposed is 70 liters capacity with lid.

Further, it is proposed to extend the subsidy towards supply

of insulated (ice) box to the beneficiaries once in every three

years.”

2. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department,

Puducherry vide their U.O. No. 1885/2015-16/F4, dated 4-8-2015.
