1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called

“Scheme for Supply of Invalid Carriage (Motorized Tricycles) to the

Person with Disabilities Rules, 2003”.

(2) They shall come into force on and from the date of their

publication in the official gazette.

2. Amendment of rule 5.— In rule 5 of the “Scheme for Supply of

Invalid Carriage (Motorized Tricycles) to the Persons with Disabilities

Rules, 2003, the following shall be substituted, namely:—

“5. Type of vehicle to be supplied.— All eligible persons with

disabilities will be supplied with a invalid carriage (motorized

tricycle standard two-wheeler fitted with two side wheels)

without gears, the model and make will be decided depending

upon the requirements and the “New Motorized Tricycles will be

distributed to the Differently Abled Persons by replacing the

damaged seven years old ones”.

3. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department,

vide their U.O. No. 1718/F5/A2, dated 23-7-2015.
