TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited for the sale of old torn vouchers/records belonging

to the Directorate of Accounts and Treasuries, Puducherry

as detailed below.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to

the Deputy Director, Directorate of Accounts and

Treasuries, Puducherry duly superscribing on the

envelope as “Tender for purchase of old torn vouchers/

records” so as to reach the undersigned on or before

14-9-2015 at 12.00 noon. The tenders will be opened

at 3.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the attending

tenderers. If the day prescribed being declared as public

holiday, the tenders will be opened on the next

working day.

3. The intending bidders should deposit an earnest

money deposit of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)

in the form of demand draft/banker’s cheque drawn in

favour of ‘The Deputy Director, Directorate of Accounts

and Treasuries, Puducherry’ along with the sealed

tender. The earnest money deposit of unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded on the same day soon after

completion of auction.

4. The highest rate quoted will be treated as

minimum bid amount and then the public auction will be

started.

5. The successful tenderer should pay the entire bid

amount as soon as the offer is accepted and the torn

papers are weighed. The torn papers should be cleared

within 3 days from the time of weighing and the

payment for excess torn papers if any may be paid with

the prior permission of the undersigned. If the tenderer

fails to clear the torn papers within the stipulated time,

the ground rent will be collected as per rules from the

tenderer until the torn papers are cleared.

6. Sales tax will be charged extra as per the applicable rate.

7. The intending tenderers can inspect the torn

papers during office hours from 1-9-2015 with the

permission of the undersigned.

8. The tenders will not be accepted after the due

date and time prescribed.

9. No claim about loss of the quantity of the torn

papers sold will be admitted after the auction is over.

10. The undersigned reserves the right either to

increase or decrease the quantity of torn papers to be

sold and also right to accept or reject the rate quoted by

the tenderers fully or partially without assigning any

reasons therefor. In case of any dispute, the decision of

the undersigned will be final.

2. The intending tenderers may inspect the items at

this office and copies of tender schedule can be had in

person on payment of ` 100 (Rupees one hundred only)

plus sales tax/VAT as admissible (Non-refundable) for

the sale of above items, during office hours between

11.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon. Each tenderer should

enclose a demand draft for ` 10,000 (Rupees ten

thousand only) as earnest money deposit drawn in

favour of Junior Accounts Officer, Indira Gandhi

Government General Hospital and Postgraduate

Institute, Puducherry.

4. Tenders will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on 9-9-2015 in

the Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital and

Postgraduate Institute, Puducherry in the presence of

the tenderers who are present at the time of opening.

5. If the highest tender amount offered by the bidder

is found to be not acceptable to the undersigned,

public auction will be conducted on the spot keeping

the highest tender amount as minimum bid.

6. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded only after finalisation of the

tenders by the competent authority.

7. The tenderer or his authorised agent (only one

person) may choose to be present at the time of opening

the tender. Authorised person should bring authorisation

letter as prescribed.

8. Acceptance of the tender will be intimated to the

successful tenderer after finalisation of the tender.

Successful tenderer only allowed to clear the materials.

9. The successful tenderer should pay the total cost

of articles plus sales tax/VAT thereon at the prevailing

rate immediately after conclusion of the tender. The

tenderers should quote their rates only, exclusive of

sales tax/VAT which will be collected extra.

10. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements to clear the articles from the premises as

early as possible between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on

the working days only.

11. This office will not be in any way held

responsible for the safe custody or any loss of the sold

articles.

12. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any

or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof and

the decision of the undersigned in this regard will be

final and binding on all the tenders.

13. All the tenderers are deemed to have read and

accepted all the terms and conditions herein mentioned.
