TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram for each

item of old newspapers, are invited by the undersigned

from the local bidder for the purchase of the

following old newspapers (English and Tamil) like The

Hindu (English), Times of India (English), The Hindu

(Tamil), Dinamalar and Malaimalar (Tamil) of this office

as detailed below:

2. The sealed tenders should be superscribed as

“Tender for the purchase of old newspapers” and

addressed to the undersigned so as to reach this office

on or before 11.00 a.m. on 25-10-2015. The received

tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in

the presence of those tenderers or their representatives

who are present.

3. The old newspapers may be inspected during the

office hours on any working day.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of

` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) in cash as earnest

money deposit before submitting their tenders. The

deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded

after the finalization of the tender.

5. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason.

7. No claim on the quantity and quality of the articles

will be admitted once the tender is finalized.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be final.

9. The rate of the each item should be quoted

separately.

10. The rate finalised/approved shall be valid for a

period of one year from the date of acceptance/

communication of the rates approved.

11. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangement to bring an approved quality of a weighing

machine in good working condition. The process of

weighing the old newspapers will be conducted in the

presence of the undersigned. And the tenderer should

remove the old newspapers at his own cost within 24

hours of the acceptance of his/her tender after remitting

the total cost of the old newspapers and sales tax/VAT

thereon at the prevailing rate failing which the earnest

money deposit will be forfeited.
