ORDER
Whereas, the M/s. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation,
Neravy Office Complex, Karaikal has deposited a sum
of ` 8,44,680 (Rupees eight lakhs forty-four thousand
six hundred and eighty only) under section 8(1) of the
Employee’s Compensation Act, 1923;
Whereas, the said sum was deposited in the
State Bank of India, Thattanchavady branch vide
Account No. 35210833944, dated 8-9-2015;
Whereas, the said amount is payable to the legal
dependants of Thiru B. Sasikumar, son of Bharathan who
met with fatal accident on 16-7-2014 arising out of and
in the course of his employment under the aforesaid
employer namely M/s. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation,
Neravy Office Complex, Karaikal.
And, whereas, Thiru Barathan, father of
B. Sasikumar, B. Anusuya, mother of B. Sasikumar and
Thiru B. Balaji, brother of B. Sasikumar are all residing
at No. 23, First Cross, Vasantha Nagar, Villianur,
Puducherry - 605 110, appeared before this Court
on 22-9-2015 and deposed an oath that they are the only
dependants at the time of death of the workman
Thiru B. Sasikumar and requested that the above amount
may be apportioned and disbursed to them;
Whereas, it was proposed to disburse the
said compensation amount to the aforesaid dependants
and a notification was issued calling for objection from
the public and the said notification was published in
the Official Gazette No. 5, dated 2nd February 2016 of
the Government of Puducherry;
And, whereas, no objection was received by
this Court to the above proposal within the stipulated
period of one month;
Now, therefore, after having satisfied with the
claim of the aforesaid legal dependants, it has been
decided to disburse the above compensation amount
along with the accrued interest thereof in the manner
prescribed hereunder;

NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an
industrial dispute has arisen between the management
of M/s. MAS Computers Forms, PIPDIC Industrial
Estate, Mettupalayam, Puducherry and Thiru N. Punniyakodi,
over non-employment and other settlement benefits;
And whereas, in the opinion of the Government,
it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;
Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated
vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991 of the
Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the powers
conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) of section
10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central Act XIV
of 1947), it is hereby directed by the Secretary to
Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred
to the Labour Court, Puducherry for adjudication.
The Labour Court, Puducherry shall submit the award
within 3 months from the date of issue of reference as
stipulated under sub-section (2-A) of section 10 of the
Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance with
rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957.
The party raising the dispute shall file a statement of
claim complete with relevant documents, list of reliance
and witnesses to the Labour Court, Puducherry within
15 days of the receipt of the order of reference and also
forward a copy of such statement to each one of the
opposite parties involved in the dispute.
