GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

ORDER
The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to order the Centralised Admission Committee-Postgraduate
(CENTAC-PG) thus constituted vide G.O. Ms. No. 16, dated 11-7-2016 of the Chief Secretariat (Higher and Technical
Education), Puducherry to carry out the task/regulate the admission of candidates to Postgraduate Professional
degree courses namely, M.Tech., M.Sc., M.Phil., M.C.A., and M.B.A., courses offered by the Government sponsored
Society Colleges, fully funded by the Government of Puducherry and various Unaided Private Professional Colleges
functioning in the Union territory of Puducherry, based on the selection methods mentioned against each course in
the annexed Information Bulletin, considering the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination
Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) percentile, aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examinations
and on the performance of the candidates in the personal interview. The procedure and norms for the above
admission is prescribed in the CENTAC-PG Information Bulletin, 2016-17 annexed to this Government Order.
2. The CENTAC-PG shall have the freedom to take functional and operation decisions for the admission of
candidates to various aforesaid professional courses, within the overall framework of the (1) G.O. Ms. No. 41,
dated 8-6-2016 of Chief Secretariat (Education), Puducherry. (2) I.D. Note No. CENTAC-PG/PEC/ES/2016/1790,
dated 15-6-2016 of the Principal, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry. (3) G.O. Ms. No. 16, dated 11-7-2016
of the Chief Secretariat (Higher and Technical Education), Puducherry and as modified from time to time.
