NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an
industrial dispute has arisen between the management of
M/s. Hindustan Unilever Limited, Detergent Factory,
Vadamangalam, Puducherry a n d its workman
R. Yayadhy over non-employment;
And whereas, in the opinion of the Government,
it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;
Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated
vide G. O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991 of the
Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the
powers conferred by clause (d) of sub-section (1) of
section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central
Act XIV of 1947), it is hereby directed by the Secretary
to Government (Labour) that the said dispute be
referred to the Labour Court,
Puducherry for
adjudication. The Labour Court, Puducherry shall
submit the award within 3 months from the date of
issue of reference as stipulated under sub-section 2-A of
section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in
accordance with rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes
(Central) Rules, 1957. The party raising the dispute shall
file a statement of claim complete with relevant
documents, list of reliance and witnesses to the
Labour Court, Puducherry within 15 days of the receipt
of the order of reference and also forward a copy of such
statement to each one of the opposite parties involved
in the dispute.

Puducherry over his non-employment is justified
or not? If justified, what relief the petitioner is

Chairperson in Consumer Grievance Redressal Forum
(CGRF) for Electricity Department for a period of
3 years. The Candidate shall be less than 65 years of age.

The candidate shall hold office for a term of three years
from the date of appointment or till he attains the age
of 65 years whichever is earlier and should possess the
following qualifications.
“A retired person possessing a Degree in
Engineering preferably
in
Electrical/Mechanical
Engineering and having served as Executive Engineer
or Equivalent in the power sector and having at least
20 years experience or retired District Judge/Additional
District Judge or retired Judicial Officer having atleast
15 years of experience in Legal/Judicial service”.
The pay and allowances and other conditions of the
Chairperson selected shall be eligible to receive a
consolidated remuneration of ` 50,000 (Rupees Fifty
thousand only) per month. They shall also be entitled
for TA/DA while out on duty as eligible to class 1
officers of the rank of Deputy Secretary in the Central
Government. They shall also be entitled for 12 days
casual leave in a calendar year.

2. The Committee shall meet atleast once in a year
to provide technical guidance and leadership and create
ownership of different departments for HIV/AIDS
programme in the Union Territory with a view to
achieve the following objectives:
(a) Prevention of HIV among high risk groups
and most at risk population.
(b) Improve the access to counselling, testing and
treatment services for HIV/AIDS through integration
of HIV/AIDS in the available existing health
infrastructure.
(c) Mobilize resources for social protection of
people living with HIV, especially widows and
children infected and affected by HIV.
(d) Promoting prevention of parent to child
transmission of HIV.
(e) Establish grievance redressal mechanism for
ensuring reduction of stigma and discrimination
against PLHIV/MARPS.
(f) Facilitate special package for educational and
nutritional support to the orphan and vulnerable
children infected and affected with HIV.
3. The Committee is bound to appraise the
proceedings of the annual meetings to the National
AIDS Control Organization.

Level Commission for Backward Classes, Puducherry vide

(3) G.O. Ms. No. 26/2002-Wel (SW-II), dated 10-6-2002,

(5) G.O. Ms. No. 42/2004-Wel (SW-V), dated 9-11-2004,
(6) G.O. Ms. No. 40/2005-Wel (SW-V), dated 28-9-2005,

Chief Secretariat (Welfare), Puducherry, (8) G.O. Ms.
No. 8/2014-SWS, dated 13-2-2015 of Social Welfare
Secretariat, Puducherry of the 68 castes/communities were
notified as “Other Backward Classes” in the Union territory
of Puducherry, with the approval of the Lieutenant-
Governor, Puducherry.
And whereas, the State Level Commission for backward
Classes, Puducherry upon careful examination based on
Field Inspection Report have recommended in their Report
No. 41, dated 10-11-2009 to include the “Vellan Chetty”
caste in the list of “Other Backward Classes” in the Union
territory of Puducherry.
Now, therefore, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry
is pleased to approve the above said recommendations
of the State Level Commission and the for the said purpose
hereby issues the following further Addendum to the
Annexure to G.O. Ms. No. 9/2001-Wel (SW-II), dated
19-2-2001 (as amended from time to time), namely:
ADDENDUM
In the Annexure to the G.O. Ms. No. 9/2001-Wel(SW-II),
dated 19-2-2001 of the Chief Secretariat (Welfare),
Puducherry after Serial Number 68 and the entries relating
thereto, the following shall be included, namely:

2. This order shall come into force on and from the
date of issue of this notification.
