In the G.O. Ms. No. 52, dated 19-6-2008 of Department of

Personnel and Administrative Reforms (Personnel Wing), Puducherry

the syllabus for the Departmental Test in Sales Tax Acts and Rules has

been prescribed as follows:—

(a)

Puducherry Value Added Tax Act and Rules, 2007 and the

Notification issued thereunder from time to time.

(b) Central Sales Tax Act, 1956, Central Sales Tax (Registration

and Turnover) Rules, 1957 and Central Sales Tax

(Puducherry) Rules, 1967 as amended from time to time.

2. Consequent to the implementation of the Value Added Tax in

the Union territory of Puducherry from 1-7-2007, it felt necessary to

amend the syllabus of the Departmental Test in Sales Tax Acts and Rules.

3. Therefore, in partial modification to the G.O. Ms. No. 52,

dated 19-6-2008 of Department of Personnel and Administrative

Reforms (Personnel Wing), Puducherry, the following syllabus stands

substituted for the Departmental Test in Sales Tax Acts and Rules with

immediate effect:-

(a)

The Puducherry General Sales Tax Act, 1967 and the

Puducherry Value Added Taxes Act, 2007.

(b) The Central Sales Tax Act, 1956, and the rules framed under

these Acts.

4. The other conditions regarding the question paper, marks, etc.,

in the G.O. Ms. No. 89, dated 17-6-1969 of Appointments Department,

Pondicherry stands unaltered.
