NOTIFICATION

The Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry is pleased to

declare Holiday on 12th October, 2016 (Wednesday)

for all Government Offices and Institutions in the

Union territory of Puducherry on account of

“Muharram (Ashuraday)”, which will not be a holiday

under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, instead of

Restricted Holiday on 13-10-2016 (Thursday) already

declared vide G.O. Ms. No. 72, dated 27-10-2015 of

Home Department, Puducherry, Saturday, the 22nd

October, 2016 will be a working day in lieu thereof.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per item (excluding

Sales tax) are invited by the undersigned for the

sale of following condemned/unserviceable items/dead

stock articles in as-is-where-is condition belonging to

the office of the Executive Engineer, Special Buildings

Division-I, Public Works Department, Eveche Street,

Puducherry.

2. Sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Executive Engineer, Special Buildings Division-I,

Public

Works

Department,

Puducherry

duly

superscribed on the envelope as “Tenders for the

purchase of condemned and unserviceable articles” in

as-is-where-is condition and should reach this office

on or before 25-11-2016 at 1.00 p.m. the tenders will

be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day by the

undersigned (or) the authorized officers in the presence

of the tenderers at the office of the undersigned.

The highest rate quoted tenderer will be considered as

successful tenderer. If, the last date falls on public

holiday the next working day will be the date for the

tender sale.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum

of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit in cash in the Office of the Executive

Engineer, Special Buildings Division-I, Public Works

Department, Puducherry on the date of auction.

4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender

sale is over.

5. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender in part or whole without assigning

any reasons thereof.

7. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount including Sales tax immediately and clear the

items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing

which the deposit amount will be forfeited.

8. No claim about the quantity and quality of the

articles will be admitted after the tender is finalized.

Sales tax will be charged as per the rates applicable at

the time of auction.

9. If, the successful tenderer not paid the full

amount including Sales tax within the specified time,

the tender will be passed on to the next highest rate quoted

tenderer.

10. The intending tenderers can inspect the

unserviceable items in this office from 10.00 a.m. to

1.00 p.m. on 23-11-2016.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.
