NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry has

by notification in G.O. Ms. 9/95/Lab., dated 7-4-1995

under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the Pondicherry

Shops and Establishments Act, 1964, authorized the

Secretary to Government, Labour Department, Puducherry

to exercise the powers of the Government under

section 6 of the said Act, relating to exemption;

And whereas, the Managements of (i) M/s. Balaji

Theatre, No. 118, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry,

(ii) M/s. Murugaa Theatre, Thattanchavadi, Puducherry,

(iii) M/s. Raja Talkies, No. 246, Anna Salai, Puducherry,

(iv) M/s. Cinema Ventures Private Limited, Jeeva and

Rukmani No. 65, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry, (v) Rathnaa

Talkees, Puducherry and (vi) M/s. Ashok Theatre,

Villianur, Puducherry have applied for grant of exemption

from certain provisions of the said Act to conduct

special morning shows from 8.00 a.m. from 28-10-2016

to 3-11-2016 on account of screening new Tamil Films

‘Kodi’ and “Kaashmora”;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred

by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to Government,

Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby exempts

(i) M/s. Balaji Theatre, No. 118, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry,

(ii) M/s. Murugaa Theatre, Thattanchavadi, Puducherry,

(iii) M/s. Raja Talkees, No. 246, Anna Salai, Puducherry,

(iv) M/s. Cinema Ventures Private Limited, Jeeva and

Rukmani No. 65, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry, (v) Rathnaa

Talkees, Puducherry and (vi) M/s. Ashok Theatre, Villianur,

Puducherry from the provisions of the sections 16(1),

17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the Pondicherry Shops and

Establishments Act, 1964 for conducting special

morning shows from 28-10-2016 to 3-11-2016 on account

of screening new Tamil Films ‘Kodi’ and “Kaashmora”,

subject to the following conditions.

1. Every person employed shall be paid overtime

wages for the period of work done by him in excess

of 8 hours in a week.

2. The total hours of work of each worker including

over time shall not exceed 10 hours including one

hour rest on any day or 5 hours in a week.

3. The management should obtain permission from

the authorities concerned wherever necessary.

been lost and beyond scope of recovery, it is proposed to

issue a duplicate certificate. If, the original certificate

is to be found by anybody, it should be sent to the

Director of Government Examinations, Chennai-6 for

cancellation, as it is no longer valid.

Mark Certificate under Register Number 679354, bearing

Serial No. AB 1394032 of March 1995 session in respect

of Karthigueyan, D., an ex-pupil of V. O. C. Government

Higher Secondary School, Kottucherry is reported to

have been lost and beyond scope of recovery, it is

proposed to issue a duplicate certificate. If, the original

certificate is to be found by anybody, it should be sent

to the Secretary, State Board of Secondary Examinations,

Chennai-6 for cancellation, as it is no longer valid.
