TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram

(excluding Sales tax) are invited for the sale of

old newspapers Tamil and English belonging to this

Directorate,

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Director of Economics and Statistics, No. 505, Kamaraj

Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013 duly superscribing on

the envelope as “Tender for purchase of old newspapers”

and should reach the undersigned on or before

7-12-2016 at 3.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened

at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the

attending tenderers, in the office of the undersigned.

3. If necessary, the auction will be conducted

among the tenderers to fix highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers should pay an amount of

` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit in cash and it will be refunded to the

unsuccessful tenderers after the acceptance of

the highest bid of the auction is over. Tenders without

earnest money deposit will not be taken into

consideration. Tenders received after the due date and

time will be rejected.

5. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount immediately as and when call made and clear

the items within 24 hours at his own risk and expenses,

failing which the earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

6. The intending tenderers can inspect the

newspapers and magazines during the office hours of all

working days from 25-11-2016 to 6-12-2016 at the

Directorate of Economics and Statistics, No. 505,

Kamaraj Salai, Saram, Puducherry-605 013.

7. The successful tenderer should make his/her own

arrangements for weighing the newspapers and other

items.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

newspapers will be admitted once the tender/auction

is finalized.

10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept/

cancel any tender in part or full without assigning any

reason.

11. VAT/Sales tax will be collected on the sale of

old newspapers, old magazines and waste papers extra

as per the rate applicable at the time of disposal.
