1. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and

addressed to the Deputy Director of Education

(Women),

Directorate

of

School

Education,

Puducherry duly superscribing on the envelope as

“Tender for the purchase of old condemned furniture

items” and sent to reach the undersigned on or before

28-2-2017 at 3.00 p.m. The tenders will be opened on

the same day at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of the

tenderers who are present. The rates for each School

should be quoted separately in one cover. The auction

will be conducted from the highest rate quoted in the

tender .

2. The tenders will be opened on 28-2-2017 at 4.00

p.m. If, the tender opening day happens to be a public

holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 3,500 (Rupees three thousand five hundred only)

as earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit

of the unsuccessful tenderers/bidders will be returned

immediately after the tender/auction sale is over.

4. Tenders received after the due date and time will

summarily be rejected.

5. The successful tenderer/bidders should pay the

entire amount and clear the items within 24 hours at

their own risk and cost, failing which the earnest

money deposit will be forfeited.

6. The intending tenderers may inspect the

condemned furniture items during office hours on any

working day with prior permission of institution during

3-2-2017 to 27-2-2017.

7. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

articles will be admitted once the tender/auction is

finalized.

8. VAT at the rate applicable will be charged and

collected.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.

10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all the tenders without assigning any

reason thereof.
