ORDER

In exercise of the powers conferred under

sub-section (1) of section 3 and sub-section (2) of

section 5 of the Minimun Wages Act, 1948, read with

the notification issued vide G.O.Ms.No. 40/Lab./AIL/

G/2013, dated 18-10-2013 the undersigned hereby

revise the rates of dearness allowance for the employees

employed in “Private Educational Institutions” in the

Union territory of Puducherry with effect from 1-1-2017

on the basis of rise in the average consumer price

index number reaching 286 from 184 (Base year

2001=100) and thereby resulting in an increase of

102 points calculated on the basis of average rates

of dearness allowance with effect from 1-1-2017.

Accordingly, the dearness allowance payable to the

classes of employees employed in the employment of

Private Educational Institutions in the Union territory

of Puducherry with effect from 1-1-2017 would be

` 306 per month.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited offering the rate for the

sale of old/unserviceable machinery items as detailed

in the Annexure belonging to this hospital, in as-is-

where-is condition.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Medical Superintendent, General Hospital, Karaikal

duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for

purchase of old/unserviceable machinery items” and to

reach the undersigned on or before 5-4-2017 at 11.00

a.m. The rate should be quoted for lot only. The tenders

will be opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same date in the

presence of the tenderers who are present. In case the

prescribed date happens to be a holiday the tender will

be conducted on the next working day.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit an

amount of ` 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) as

Demand Draft in favour of the Medical Superintendent,

General Hospital, Karaikal as earnest money deposit.

The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers

will be refunded after the tender is completed. Tenders

without earnest money deposit will not be taken into

consideration.

4. Tenders received after the stipulated date and

time will be summarily be rejected.

5. The successful tenderer should pay the full

amount with the applicable sales tax, etc., immediately and

clear the auctioned articles within 24 hours at his own

risk, failing which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

6. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

articles will be admitted once the tender is accepted.

If, the tender amount is less than the asset value of the

materials, the tender will be rejected.

7. The intending tenderers may inspect the articles

in the annexure on 4-4-2017 only with the permission

of the undersigned.

8. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tenders in full or part without assigning any

reason thereof.

9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.
