ORDER

Whereas, Sri Venkateswara Devasthanam, Group of

Temples, Yanam, is being administered by a Board of

Trustees constituted vide G.O. Ms. No. 5/CHRI/T2/

2010, dated 18-2-2014 of the Under Secretary to

Government (Temples), Puducherry.

2. And whereas, the tenure of the Board has expired

and it is necessitated for the constitution of a new

Board of Trustees to administer the affairs of the said

Devasthanam.

3. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred under sub-section (1) and (1A) of section 4

of the Puducherry Hindu Religious Institutions Act

1972, the Government hereby constitutes immediately,

the Board of Trustees to Sri Venkateswara Devasthanam,

Group of Temples, Yanam, as follows:

4. The Board shall administer the said Devasthanam

as envisaged in the provisions of the Puducherry Hindu

Religious Institutions Act, 1972, and the rules framed

thereunder.

5. The trustees of the abovesaid Board shall hold

office for a fresh term of three years from the date of

issue of this order unless they are removed or

disqualified or their resignations are accepted or

otherwise they cease to be the Members of the Board.

at Karaikal and the Laboratory of the Pollution Control

Committee, Karaikal as State Water Laboratories to carryout

the functions entrusted to the State Water Laboratory under

the Act.

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited by the Chief Educational

Officer, Karaikal for the sale of old newspapers,

magazines, answer scripts and empty gunny bags as-is-

where-is in condition as detailed for the year 2016-17.

1. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed on the

envelope with the words “Tenders for the purchase of

old newspapers, magazines, answer scripts and empty

gunny bags due on 26-4-2017” should reach the office

of the undersigned at 3.00 p.m. on or before

26-4-2017.

2. The tenders so received will be opened on the

same day at 4.30 p.m. in the presence of the tenderers

or their representatives who are present at that time.

3. The tenders received after the due date and time

will be rejected.

4. If, for any reason, the tender opening day

happens to be a holiday, the same will be opened on

the next working day at 11.30 a.m.

5. The intending tenderers should deposit an

amount of earnest money deposit of ` 2,000 (Rupees

two thousand only) in cash along with the tender. The

earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful tenderers

will be refunded only after finalizing the tender.

6. The successful tenderer should ascertain/

weighing the quantity in kilograms of each item from

the in-charges of the Schools and in the stores section

of the Chief Educational Office, Karaikal and pay the

cost along with the applicable Sales tax to the

Headmaster of the Schools/Cashier of the Office of

the Chief Educational Officer, Karaikal and remove the

old newspapers and other items within 24 hours from

the time of tender sale is over.

7. The successful tenderer should make his own

arrangements to weigh the old newspapers, magazines,

answer scripts and empty gunny bags.

8. The intending

tenderers can

inspect the

old newspapers in the stores section and Schools

during the office hours on all working days from

3-4-2017 onwards.

9. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject the tender/tenders without assigning any reason

therefor.
