NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an
industrial dispute has arisen between the
management of M/s. Sourashtra Roadways Parcel
Services, Mahe and its worker Thiru P.K. Raneesh
represented by CITU, o v e r non-payment of closure
compensation in respect of the matter mentioned in
the Annexure to this order;
And whereas, in the opinion of the Government,
it is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;
Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated
vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab., dated 23-5-1991 of
the Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the
powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of
section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947
(Central Act XIV of 1947), it is hereby directed by the
Secretary to Government (Labour) that the said dispute
be referred to the Labour Court, Puducherry for
adjudication. The Labour Court, Puducherry shall
submit the Award within 3 months from the date of
issue of reference as stipulated under sub-section (2-A)
of section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947
and in accordance with rule 10-B of the Industrial
Disputes (Central) Rules, 1957. The party raising the
dispute shall file a statement of claim complete with
relevant documents, list of reliance and witnesses to
the Labour Court, Puducherry within 15 days of the
receipt of the order of reference and also forward
a copy of such statement to each one of the opposite
parties involved in the dispute.
ANNEXURE
(1) Whether Thiru P.K. Raneesh, the petitioner
comes under the purview of workman?
(2) If so, the denial of employment by way of
closure without intimation by the employer is
justifiable or not? If not, what remedy he is entitled
or not?
(3) To compute the relief if any, awarded in

ORDER
In exercise of the powers delegated vide item No. 19
of G.O. Ms. No. 47/F3/2014, dated 9-12-2014 of the
Finance Department, Puducherry, approval of the
Secretary to Government (Industries and Commerce) is
hereby accorded to appoint Thiru CA.V. Chandrasekaran,
Chartered Accountant, No. 18, 5th Cross Street,
Anna Nagar, Nellithope, Puducherry-605 005 as Auditor
to audit the accounts of the Puducherry Khadi and
Village Industries Board, Puducherry for the financial
years 2016-17 and 2017-18.
2. Sanction of Secretary (Industries and Commerce)
is also accorded for payment of an amount of ` 34,000
(Rupees Thirty-four thousand only) per annum (Inclusive
of all tax) as fees to the Auditor for the year 2016-17
and for the year 2017-18.
3. The appointment of Thiru CA. V. Chandrasekaran,
Chartered Accountant as an Auditor to the Puducherry
Khadi and Village Industries Board, Puducherry for the
above period shall be got ratified by the Board of
Directors of the Puducherry Khadi and Village Industries

2. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed
and addressed to the Chief Educational Officer,
Directorate of School Education, Puducherry duly
superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the purchase
of old condemned furniture items” and sent to reach the
undersigned on or before 29-6-2017 at 4.00 p.m.
The tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.15 p.m.
in the presence of the tenderers who are present. The rates
for each School should be quoated separately in one
cover.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an
amount of ` 10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only) as
earnest money deposit. The earnest money deposit of
the unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately
after the tender sale is over.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will
summarily be rejected.
5. The successful tenderer should pay the entire
amount and clear the items within 24 hours at his own
risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit
will be forfeited.
6. The intending tenderers may inspect the
condemned furniture and other items during office
hours on any working day with the prior permission of
