ORDER
The Government of Puducherry has constituted Centralised Admission Committee-Postgraduate
(CENTAC-PG-ENGINEERING) vide No. 01706/CS (H&T. Edn.)/E3/2017, dated 5-7-2017 of the Chief Secretariat (Higher
and Technical Education), Puducherry to carry out the task/regulate the admission of candidates to Postgraduate
Professional degree courses namely, M.Tech., M.Sc., M.Phil., M.C.A., and M.B.A., offered by the Government
sponsored Society Colleges, fully funded by the Government of Puducherry and to the seats allocated as
‘Government Quota seats’ in various Unaided Private Professional Colleges functioning in the Union territory of
Puducherry, based on the selection methods, mentioned against each course in the annexed Information Bulletin,
considering the marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination, Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
(GATE) percentile, aggregate marks obtained in the qualifying examinations and on the performance of the
candidates in the personal interview. The procedure and norms for the above admission is prescribed in the
CENTAC-PG (Engineering) Information Bulletin, 2017-’18 annexed to this Order.
2. The CENTAC-PG shall have the freedom to take functional and operational decisions for the admission
of candidates to various aforesaid professional courses, within the overall framework of the (1) G.O. Ms. No. 17,
dated 12-7-2016 of Chief Secretariat (Higher and Technical Education), Puducherry, (2) I.D. Note No. PEC/CENTAC-
PG/ES/2017/1258, dated 25-5-2017 of the Principal, Pondicherry Engineering College, Puducherry and (3) No. 01706/
CS (H&T. Edn.)/E3/2017, dated 5-7-2017 of the Chief Secretariat (Higher and Technical Education), Puducherry -
Constituting CENTAC-PG (Engineering) for the year 2017-18 and as modified from time to time.
