NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with

the Notification No. F.5/4/65-GP., dated the 11th January, 1965 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of

India, New Delhi and in partial modification of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Puducherry

notification issued in G. O. Ms. No. 19, dated 14th November, 2014 and published as a Supplement to the Gazette

No. 48 of the 2nd December, 2014, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the following rules further

to amend the rules regulating the method of recruitment to the Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted - Non-Ministerial) post

of Junior Library Attendant in the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Puducherry, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (i) These rules may be called the Government of Puducherry,

Directorate of Art and Culture, Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted - Non-Ministerial) post of Junior Library Attendant

Recruitment (Amendment) Rules, 2017.

(ii) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Schedule.— In the Government of Puducherry, Directorate of Art and Culture, Group 'C'

(Non-Gazetted - Non-Ministerial) post of Junior Library Attendant Recruitment Rules, 2014.

(a) in the Schedule in column (4),

(i) for the column heading, the column heading "Level in Pay Matrix" shall be substituted.

(ii) for the entries, the entries "Level-1 in the Pay Matrix (` 1,800)" shall be substituted.

(b) In the said rules, in the Schedule, for the existing entries against column (10), the following shall be

substituted, namely:—

(i) 75% by absorption failing which by direct recruitment;

(ii) 25% by direct recruitment.
