TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE
1. Sealed tenders offering the highest rate for
whole lot of the old condemned and unserviceable
articles are invited for sale in as-is-where-is condition
on 30-8-2017 as detailed in the Annexure-I.
2. The tenders in sealed cover should be addressed
to the Principal, Government Industrial Institute for Women,
N.S.C. Bose Road, Vambakeerapalayam, Puducherry-605 001
duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the
purchase of unserviceable articles” and to reach the
undersigned on or before of 30-8-2017 at 3.00 p.m.
The received tenders will be opened on the same day
at 4.00 p.m in the presence of the tenderers or their
representatives who are present at that time. If, the
opening day of the tenders happens to be a public
holiday, the same will be opened on the next working day.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of
` 8,000 (Rupees eight thousand only) in cash as earnest
money deposit at the same time of submitting their
tenders. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be refunded after finalization of the
tender.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will
be rejected. If, the highest rate quoted by the tender is
below the upset price, then open auction will be
conducted on the same day. In the open auction, the
tenderers who have submitted sealed tender already
will only be allowed.
5. The successful tenderer should pay the entire
amount immediately alongwith the GST if any, and
clear all the items within 24 hours at his own risk,
failing which the earnest money deposit will be
forfeited into the Government Account. The successful
tenderer should make his own arrangement to clear the
items.
6. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject any tender or all of them without assigning any
reason thereof.
7. No claim on the quantity and quality of the
old condemned and unserviceable articles will be
admitted once the tender is finalized.
8. The intending tenderers may inspect the
old condemned and unserviceable articles during office
hours on 28-8-2017 and 29-8-2017 with the permission
of the office between 10.00 a.m and 4 p.m. in the
Government Industrial Institute for Women, N.S.C.
Bose Road, Vambakeerapalayam, Puducherry-605 001
and B.T.C., Thattanchavady, Puducherry.
9. In case any dispute arises, the decision of the
undersigned shall be the final and binding.

TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders quoting the rate per kilogram
(excluding Sales tax) are invited from the local
tenderers for sale of old newspapers (Tamil & English)
periodicals (Tamil & English) and old magazines which
are available in all Branch Libraries in Puducherry
region, Romain Rolland Library and other Sub-Offices
of the Department of Art and Culture, Puducherry.

2. T he sealed
tenders should be addressed to
the Director, Department of Art & Culture, Puducherry
duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for
purchase of old newspapers, periodicals and old
magazines” and to reach this office on or before 31-8-2017
at 3.00 p.m.. The tenders will be opened at 5.00 p.m.
on the same day in the presence of tenderers present
if any, in the Chamber of Director of Art & Culture,
Puducherry.
3. The intending tenderers can inspect the items
during office hours in the GBLS/RRL and Sub-Offices
of this Department with prior permission of the
incharges of the concerned libraries.
4. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of
` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest money
deposit to the Cashier, Department of Art & Culture,
Puducherry at the time of submitting their tender.
Tenders without earnest money deposit will
summarily be rejected.
5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender
sale is over, whereas, the earnest money deposit of the
successful tenderers will also be returned after the
official process is completed in all respects.
6. The tenders received after the due date and time
will not be entertained.
7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject any tender in part or whole without assigning
any reason thereof.
8. The successful tenderer should pay the full
amount including sales tax as applicable under the
rules in force and clear the items within 15 days from
the Sub-offices of this Department at their own risk
and cost, failing which, the entire amount of earnest
money deposit will be forfeited.
9. Once the tender process is finished, no claim
related with the quantity and quality of the
newspapers/periodicals will be admitted.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
Director will be the final.
11. GST/Tax will be collected on the sale of
old newspapers, periodicals and old magazines as per
the rates prevailing at the time of sale/disposal.
