NOTIFICATION

[Notice under section 320 of the Pondicherry Village and Commune

Panchayats Act, 1973 (Act No. 10 of 1973)]

1. Whereas, bye-laws regulating the collection of Market Adikasu

Fees in respect of Vegetable shop vendors, Market stalls, etc., in

Ariyankuppam Commune Panchayat have been framed and published

vide Gazette No. 26, dated 26-6-1990.

2. Whereas, the Director (LA), Local Administration Department

has resolved vide his Proceedings No. 20/2016-2017/ACP, dated

12-12-2016 to make certain amendment to the bye-law under section 320

of the Pondicherry Village and Commune Panchayats Act, 1973 (No. 10

of 1973), read with the Pondicherry Commune Panchayat (Procedure for

framing of Bye-laws) Rules, 1975, regulating the collection of Market

Adikasu Fees in respect of Vegetable shop vendors, Market stalls, etc.,

in Ariyankuppam Commune Panchayat.

3. Notice is hereby given that the draft will be processed after the

expiry of 30 days (Thirty days) from the date of publication this

notification in the Official Gazette and that any objection or suggestion

which may be received from the public before expiry of the abovesaid

period will be considered by the Designated Officer, Ariyankuppam

Commune Panchayat.

Draft Amendment

In the said bye-laws, regulating the collection of Market Adikasu

Fees in respect of Vegetable shop vendors, Market stall, etc., the

following amendments are made namely:-

1. Amendment of Bye-law No. 1 :-

In the said bye-laws, for bye-law No.1 of following shall be

substituted, namely:-

“1. The Market adikasu lease auction will be conducted by

verbal proceedings or sealed tenders or e-Tender”.

2. Amendment of Bye-law No.4:-

In the said bye-laws, for bye-law No.4 of following shall be

substituted, namely:-

“4. The bidder shall pay of ` 25,000 (Rupees twenty-five

thousand only) as earnest money deposit in the form of Demand Draft

taken from a Nationalized Bank in the name of Commissioner, Ariyankuppam

Commune Panchayat. Otherwise, the bidder will not be allowed to

participate in the auction”.

3. Amendment of Bye-law No.9:-

In the said bye-laws, in bye-law No. 9 for Sl. No. (1) to (30),

the following shall be substituted, namely:-
