NOTIFICATION

In exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to Article 309 of the Constitution of India, read with the

Notification No. F5/65-GP, dated 11th January 1965 of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi,

and in partial modification of the Government of Puducherry, Directorate of Industries and Commerce (Secretariat

Wing) Notification issued in G.O. Ms. No. 6/DI&C/S2/SW/2016, dated 30th March, 2016 and published in the

Supplement to the Gazette No.15, dated 12th April, 2016, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the

following rules to amend the Government of Puducherry, Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Group ‘B’

Non-Gazetted – Non-Ministerial post of Technical Officer Recruitment Rules, 2015, namely:—

1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Government of Puducherry,

Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Group 'B' Non-Gazetted – Non-Ministerial post of Technical Officer

(Amendment) Rules, 2017.

(2) They shall come into force on and from the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. Amendment of the Schedule.— In the said rules –

(i) In the Schedule of Recruitment Rules for the post of Technical Officer for entries against Column - 4,

the following shall be substituted, namely:—

‘‘4. Level in the Pay Matrix ; Level – 6’’

(ii) In the Schedule of Recruitment Rules for the post of Technical Officer in item (a) (ii) of the Note

under Column 10, for the words and figures ‘‘Pay Band-1; Rs. 5,200 – 20,200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2,800’’, the words

and figures:

‘‘Level – 5 in the Pay Matrix’’ shall be substituted.

3. Effect of Amendment.— This Amendment shall come into force with effect from 1-1-2016.
