GOVERNMENT OF PUDUCHERRY

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the Government is of the opinion that an

industrial dispute has arisen between the management

of M/s. Godrej Consumer Products Limited, Manapet

Post, Cuddalore Road, Puducherry and Thiru S. Senthil

Kumar, Neyveli, over non-employment and back wages

in respect of the matter mentioned in the Annexure to

this order;

And whereas, in the opinion of the Government, it

is necessary to refer the said dispute for adjudication;

Now, therefore, by virtue of the authority delegated

vide G.O. Ms. No. 20/91/Lab./L, dated 23-5-1991

of the Labour Department, Puducherry to exercise the

powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of

section 10 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (Central

Act XIV of 1947), it is hereby directed by Secretary to

Government (Labour) that the said dispute be referred

to the Labour Court, Puducherry for adjudication. The

Labour Court, Puducherry shall submit the award

within 3 months from the date of issue of reference

as stipulated under sub-section (2-A) of section 10

of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and in accordance

with rule 10-B of the Industrial Disputes (Central)

Rules, 1957. The party raising the dispute shall file a

statement of claim complete with relevant documents,

list of reliance and witnesses to the Labour Court,

Puducherry within 15 days of the receipt of the order

of reference and also forward a copy of such statement

to each one of the opposite parties involved in the

dispute.

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, by notification issued under G.O. Ms.

No.l4/AIL/Lab./G/20I7, dated 21st July, 2017 of

the Labour Department, Puducherry and published in

Part-II of the Extraordinary Gazette No. 46, dated 26-7-2017,

notice had been given of the appropriate Government’s

intention to declare various establishments as required

under sub-section (7) of section 2 of the Puducherry

Shops and Establishments Act, 1964 (Act No. 9 of 1964),

inviting objections and suggestion from all persons

likely to be affected hereby, within 45 days from the

date of publication of the said notification in the

Official Gazette of Government of Puducherry;

2. Whereas, the said Gazette notification was

notified for information of the general public on 26th

July, 2017;

3. Whereas, pursuant to the said notification no

objections or suggestions have been received within

the above-mentioned stipulated time-limit;

4. Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers

conferred by sub-section (7) of section 2 of the

Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964

(Act No. 9 of 1964), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,

is hereby pleased to declare the following as

The intention of the Designated Officer, Ariyankuppam Commune Panchayat was first published as required

under rule 3 of the Pondicherry Village Panchayats (Procedure for determining to levy tax and notification of

new taxes) Rules 1976 for submission of objections or suggestions if any, within one month from the date of

publication to the Commissioner of the said Commune Panchayats for consideration by the Designated Officer.

As no objections or suggestions has been received from the public on the stipulated time. The Designated Officer,

Ariyankuppam Commune Panchayat in his Proceedings No. 20-67/2017-Rev./ACP, dated 23-10-2017 decided to

levy the Profession Tax with effect from the 1st half year of the current financial year 2017-18 hereunder.
