per lot of old/condemned furniture and deadstock
items and other items available in the Office of the

Terms and conditions
1. The tenders
in sealed cover
should be
addressed to the Deputy Director (Administration),
Directorate of School Education, Puducherry duly
superscribing on the envelope as ‘Tender for the
purchase of old/unserviceable furniture and deadstock
items’, so as to reach the undersigned on or before
06-12-2017 at 10.00 a.m. The received tenders will
be opened on the same day at 11.00 a.m. in the
presence of the tenderers or their representatives who
are present at that time. If, the tenders opening day
happens to be a public holiday, the same will be opened
on the next working day. Any incomplete tender
received is liable for rejection.
2. Tenders received after the due date and time will
summarily be rejected. If, the highest rate quoted by
the tenderer is below the upset price, then the open
auction will be conducted on the same day. In the open
auction, the tenderers who have submitted sealed
tenders already will only be allowed.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an
amount of ` 500 (Rupees five hundered only) in cash
as earnest money deposit before submission of
tenders.
4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be refunded after the tender/auction
sale is over/finalised.
5. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject any tender or all the items without assigning any
reason thereof. The decision of the undersigned will
be final in case of any dispute.
6. The successful tenderer should pay the entire
amount immediately and clear all the articles within
24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing which the
earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
7. No claim about the quantity, quality and value of
the unserviceable furniture and deadstock items will
be admitted once the tender/auction sale is finalised.
8. The intending tenderers can inspect the furniture
and deadstock items during the office hours in the
Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Centenary Educational
Complex, Puducherry with the permission of the
Store-keeper between 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. during
27-11-2017 to 04-12-2017.
9. The sale will be effected only to the highest
tenderer/bidder.
10. The Government in no way is held responsible
for the safe custody of the articles once the auction
is confirmed.
11. GST as per the rate in force will be charged
extra on the amount finalised.
