Puducherry, the 2nd January 2018.
TENDER -CUM-AUCTION NOTICE
Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are
invited for purchase of old newspapers (Tamil and
English) belonging to the Office of the Council of
Ministers, Puducherry.
2. The rate should be quoted for each item
separately as follows:

3. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed as
“Tender for the purchase of old newspapers and
magazines” should be addressed to the Private
Secretary to Chief Minister, Puducherry, Office of the
Council of Ministers, Legislative Assembly Building,
III Floor, Puducherry-605 001, so as to reach this
office before 3.00 p.m. on 22-01-2018. The tenders
will be opened on the same day at 4.30. p.m. in the
presence of the tenderers who are present. The highest
tender amount will be taken as “lowest rate”. From this
rate onwards the open auction will be conducted with
the tenderers present at that time. The tenderers who
has asked highest rate will be the final for each item
of newspapers and magazines i.e., per kg.
4. The intending tenderers should deposit an earnest
money of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) in cash
before the submission of tender in the Office of the
Council of Ministers, Puducherry and obtain
temporary receipt therefor, while the earnest money
deposit of unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded
after the tender/auction process is over.

the old newspapers and magazines with the permission
of the Office of the Council of Ministers during office
hours on or before 22-01-2018.
6. It may be noted that the undersigned reserves the
right to reject any or all the tenderers without
assigning any reason. Any contravention of the rules
of tender notice will result in the forfeiture of the
earnest money deposit.
7. The Sales tax will be collected as per rules.
8. The successful tenderer should make his own
arrangements to weigh the old newspapers and
magazines subject to the satisfaction of the
undersigned in regard to weighment. The cost of the
old newspapers, etc., along with the Sales tax admissible
will be collected as per rules and the tenderer shall
remove the newspapers and magazines from the
premises of this office within 24 hours from the time
of acceptance of his tender auction sale, failing which
the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.
9. The successful tenderer will not be allowed to
avoid purchase of any portion of the old newspapers
and magazines in the premises, after the tender/auction
sale is over.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
undersigned will be the final and legally binding.

AUCTION NOTICE
Public are hereby informed that the unserviceable
articles (as defined in the Annexure) pertaining to
Physics Laboratory of this institution will be sold in
public
auction in as-is-where-is condition on
29-01-2018 at 10.00 a.m. in the premises of
Vivekananda Government Boys’ Higher Secondary
School, Villianur, Puducherry.
2. The intending bidders before commencement of
auction should deposit an amount of ` 1,510 (Rupees
one thousand five hundred and ten only) as earnest
money deposit.
3. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
bidders will be refunded immediately after the auction
is over.
4. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or
reject any bid without assigning any reason thereof.
5. The successful bidder should pay the entire
amount soon after the auction is over, failing which
the earnest money deposit will be forfeited to
Government. He should take delivery of the auctioned
articles at his own risk within 24 hours.
6. Sales tax at the rate applicable will be charged.
7. The intending bidders can inspect the articles
during office hours in the Physics Laboratory,
Vivekananda Government Boys’ Higher Secondary
School, Villianur, Puducherry.
8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the Vice-
Principal, Vivekananda Government Boys’ Higher
Secondary School, Villianur, Puducherry, will be the final.
