Valuation (Amendment) Act, 2017 (Act No. 11 of 2017),
the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to
appoint the 13th day of December, 2017, as the date
on which the said Act shall be deemed to have come
into force in the whole of the Union territory of
Puducherry.

NOTIFICATION
Consequent to the amendment of the Puducherry
Court-Fees and Suits Valuation Act, 1972 (No. 6 of
1973) for collection of Court-Fees by e-stamps and
in exercise of the powers conferred under section 70
of the said Act, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,
is pleased to implement e-stamping system for
collection of all the fees chargeable under this Act,
which is at present being realised by way of judicial
stamps in all the Courts of this Union territory of
Puducherry and in the Hon’ble High Court of
Judicature at Madras in respect of all Original,
Appellate, Revisional, Review litigations arising out of
the Jurisdictional limits of the Union territory of
Puducherry.
Besides, M/s. Stock Holding Corporation of India
Limited (SHCIL), the Central Record-keeping
Agency (CRA) whose period of engagement has been
extended for a further period of 5 years with effect
from 15-6-2017 for issue of e-stamps in respect of
Non-Judicial Stamps, is hereby authorised for
implementation of collection of Court-Fees by e-stamps.
The process of submission and maintenance of
accounts/records by M/s. SHCIL shall be similar to the
procedure as prescribed in the Puducherry Stamp
(Payment of Duty by Means of e-Stamping) Rules,
2010. The Chief Controlling Revenue Authority-cum-
Inspector-General of Registration
is hereby
empowered to enter into agreement with M/s. SHCIL
in favour of the Government and to complete the
formalities of executing the agreement, undertaking/
indemnity Bond and service level agreement.
