Puducherry, the 23rd April 2018.

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited by the undersigned for a

sale of unserviceable/obsolete articles such as

Wooden/Steel Furniture, Kitchen use vessels,

Electrical/Electronic and Miscellaneous items listed

in the Annexure in a lot system belonging to the

Observation Home and Special School (OHSS),

Ariyankuppam run by this Department in as-is-where-

is condition.

2. The intending tenderers may inspect the items at

the Office of the Observation Home and Special

School, Ariyankuppam between 10.30 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

on all working days from 15-5-2018 to 22-5-2018

with the permission of the Assistant Director, OHSS,

Ariyankuppam, Puducherry.

3. The tenderers may offer their tendering rate

both in figures and words for purchase of obsolete/

unserviceable items on lot basis in a plain paper or in

their letter head and it may be submitted in a sealed

cover addressed to the Senior Accounts Officer,

Social Welfare Department, Puducherry superscribed

as “Tender for purchase of unserviceable articles”.

The tender should reach this office on or before

23-5-2018 by 1.00 p.m. The tenders offered after the

due date and time will be rejected.

4. Each tenderer should enclose a Demand Draft

for an amount of ` 3,000 (Rupees three thousand only)

drawn in favour of the Senior Accounts Officer,

Social Welfare Department, Puducherry as earnest

money deposit. The following self attested photo copy

of the documents/certificates must be enclosed along

with tender:—

(a) Valid GST/Sales Tax Certificate.

(b) PAN Card.

(c) Aadhaar Card/Valid Family Ration Card/Valid

Driving Licence.

Tender without the earnest money deposit, certificate/

documents will be rejected.

5. Tenders will be opened on 23-5-2018 at 3.00

p.m. in the office of the undersigned in the presence of

the tenderers who are present at the time of opening.

If, the opening day happens to be holiday, the tenders

will be opened on the next working day at the same

time.

6. If, the highest tender amount offered by the

tenderer is found to be not acceptable to the

undersigned, the public auction will be conducted on

the spot, keeping the highest tender amount as minimum

bid.

7. Any false representation is found during the

tender process, the tender offered by him/them will be

cancelled and his/their earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

8. If, any/all participant(s) misbehaves during the

tender process, the tenderer(s) will be removed from

the place of auction, also his/their tender will be

rejected and the earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

9. The earnest money deposit of the successful

tenderer will be adjusted against the sale proceeds and

the earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be discharged/returned immediately.

10. Any other person than the tenderer or his

authorised person will not be admitted at the time of

opening the tenders and auction.

11. Acceptance of the tender/auction will be

intimated to the successful tenderer after finalization

of the tenders. Successful tenderer only will be

allowed to clear/remove the materials.

12. The successful tenderer should pay the cost of

articles plus applicable Sales tax/GST and make their

own arrangements to clear/remove the articles

immediately. Otherwise, the earnest money deposit

will be forfeited.

13. This office will not be in any way held

responsible for the safe custody or any loss of the

sold articles. Once the tender is finalized, no claim, on

the quantity and quality of the materials will be

entertained.







14. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any

or all the tenders without assigning any reasons thereof

and the decision of the undersigned in this regard will

be final and binding on all the tenders.
