NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section
9 of the Puducherry Landing and Shipping Fees Act, 1971 (Act No. 16
of 1971), the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby makes the
following amendment to the Puducherry Landing and Shipping Fees
Rules, 1976, the Draft of the same was issued in the Chief Secretariat
(Ports), Government of Puducherry notification in G.O. Ms. No. 03,
Puducherry, dated the 16th day of January, 2018 and published

in the Extraordinary Gazette, Part-II, No. 4 of the Gazette of Puducherry,
dated 23rd day of January 2018, as required under sub-section (1) of
section 9 of the said Act. As objections/suggestions were not received
with regard to the Draft Rules, the Government have decided to confirm
the said rules, namely:-
RULES
1. Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called
the ‘Puducherry Landing and Shipping Fees (Amendment) Rules, 2018’.
(2) They shall come into force with effect from the date of issue
of the notification.
2. Amendment of Schedule.— In the Annexure appended to the
Puducherry Landing and Shipping Fees Rules, 1976, for Serial Number 3
under the Details of articles “3 - Other Cargos” and the entries relating
thereto in columns (2) to (4), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
