NOTIFICATION

Under section 25 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881

(Central Act XXVI of 1881), read with Notification of the

Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs S.O. 358(E),

dated 28th June 1973, the Government of Puducherry hereby

declares Wednesday, the 8th August 2018 as a Public Holiday,

as a mark of respect to the late Kalaignar Dr. M. Karunanidhi,

former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

2. The above notified Public Holiday shall also apply

to all Government Undertakings/Corporations/Boards, etc.

Public are hereby informed that the old books,

newspapers and magazine articles of this Institution

shown below will be disposed off in as-is-

where-is condition by Tender-cum-Auction sale on

27-08-2018 at 10.30 a.m.

Terms and conditions

1. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Principal, Tagore Government Arts and Science

College, Puducherry, duly superscribing on the

envelope as “Tender for purchase of old books,

newspapers and magazine articles” and should reach

this office on or before 27-08-2018 at 10.00 a.m. The

tenders will be opened at 11.30 a.m. on the same day

in the presence of the tenderers present if any, in the

Chamber of the undersigned at Tagore Government

Arts and Science College, Puducherry-605 008.

2. The tender will be awarded to the highest

tenderer on the spot.

3. If, the highest tender amount offered by the

tenderer is found to be not acceptable by the

undersigned, then the public auction will be conducted

on the spot keeping the highest tender amount as

minimum upset price for bid.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an

earnest money of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only)

along with sealed tenders. The earnest money deposit

of the unsuccessful tenderers will be refunded on the

same day soon after completion of tender/auction sale.

5. The successful tenderer/bidder should pay the

entire amount soon after the completion of the tender/

auction sale and should clear the tender/auction sold

materials at his own arrangement/cost before 5.00

p.m. on the same day, failing which the office will not

be held responsible either for the safe custody or for

loss or damage of articles once the tender/auction sale

is over.

6. GST/Sales tax will be charged extra as per the

rate applicable at the time of tender/auction sale.

7. No claim on the quantity or quality of the

articles will be admitted once the tender/auction sale

is over.

8. The intending

tenderers can

inspect the

unserviceable articles during office hours from 10.00 a.m.

to 12.00 noon on any working day, but, on or before

the tender/auction sale date, at this Institution with the

permission of the undersigned.

9. The tenders offered after the due date and time

will be rejected.

10. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all the tenders without assigning any

reason thereof and the decision of the undersigned in

this regard will be final and binding on all the

tenders. If, the tender/auction date falls on a holiday,

the tender/auction sale will be held on the next working day.

11. Along with the tender, a copy of all the

following self attested documents should be submitted.

(a) Aadhaar Card;

(b) Valid PAN Card;

12. Individuals/Partner of a firm who have/has been

punished under Criminal Procedure Code or any

criminal case is under process is not eligible for

participating in the Tender-cum-Auction. Any false

representation is found during the tender process, the

tender offered by them/him will be cancelled and their/

his earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

13. If, any/all participant(s) misbehave(s) during the

tender process, the tenderer(s) will be removed from

the place of auction, also his/their tender will be

rejected and the earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

14. Any other person than the tenderer or his

authorised person will not be admitted at the time of

opening the tenders/auction process.

15. This office will not be in any way held

responsible for the safe custody or any loss of the

sold articles. Once the tender is finalised, no claim on

the quantity and quality of the materials will be

entertained.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rates are invited from

the

public for the sale of the following items

belonging to the Office of the Deputy Collector

(Excise), Puducherry.

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Deputy Collector (Excise), Office of the Deputy

Collector (Excise), Thattanchavady, Puducherry, duly

superscribing on the

envelope as "Tender for

purchase of old newspapers" quoting the amount

separately so as to reach the Office of the Deputy

Collector (Excise), Thattanchavady, Puducherry on or

before 23-08-2018 at 10.00 a.m.. The tenders will be

opened at 5.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence

of the tenderers if any, in the Office of the Deputy

Collector (Excise), Puducherry.

3. The intending GST registered tenderers only

should participate and deposit an amount of ` 300

(Rupees three hundred only) as earnest money deposit

before submission of the tender.

4. Along with tender, copy of all the following self

attested documents should be submitted by the

tenderer.

Aadhaar Card copy,

(2)

Valid GST Registration Certificate copy,

(3) EMD Deposit copy.

5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender

sale is over.

6. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason

therefor.

8. The successful tenderer should pay the entire

amount (excluding GST) immediately and clear all the

articles within 24 hours at his own risk and cost,

failing which the earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

articles will be entertained once the tender is finalized.

10. The intending tenderers can inspect the

articles during the office hours in the Office of the

Deputy Collector (Excise), Puducherry from 13-08-2018

to 21-08-2018.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision or the

Deputy Collector (Excise), Puducherry will be the

final.

12. The rate of each item should be quoted

separately.

13. GST as per the rate in force should be paid by

the successful tenderer to the Commercial Taxes

Department, Puducherry on reverse charge basis on the

amount finalized with the intimation to the

undersigned.
