NOTIFICATION
Whereas, the Managements of (i) M/s. The Cinema
Providence, Providence Mall, Puducherry, (ii) M/s. JR Cinemas
(Jeeva Rukmani 4K Dolby Atmos), No. 65, Kamaraj
Salai, Puducherry, (iii) M/s. Murugaa Theatre,
Thattanchavadi, Puducherry, (iv) M/s. Balaji Theatre,
No. 118, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry, (v) M/s. Raja
Talkies, No. 246, Anna Salai, Puducherry, (vi) M/s. Rathnaa
Talkies, No. 468, Anna Salai, Puducherry, (vii) M/s. Ashok
Theatre, Villianur, Puducherry, (viii) M/s. Vasantharaja
Theatre, Perambai Road, Moolakulam, Puducherry,
(ix) M/s. Jaya Theatre, E.C.R., Periyakalapet, Puducherry,
have applied for grant of exemption from certain
provisions of the said Act to conduct special morning
shows from 06-11-2018 to 11-11-2018 on account of
screening a new Tamil film “Sarkar”.
And whereas, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry,
has by notification in G.O. Ms. No. 9/95/Lab., dated
07-04-1995 under sub-section (1) of section 52 of the
Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964,
authorized the Secretary to Government, Labour
Department, Puducherry, to exercise the powers of the
Government under section 6 of the said Act, relating
to grant of exemption;
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred
by section 6 of the said Act, the Secretary to Government,
Labour Department, Puducherry, hereby exempts
(i) M/s. The Cinema Providence, Providence Mall,
Puducherry, (ii) M/s. JR Cinemas (Jeeva Rukmani 4K
Dolby Atmos), No. 65, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry,
(iii) M/s. Murugaa Theatre, Thattanchavadi, Puducherry,
(iv) M/s. Balaji Theatre, No. 118, Kamaraj Salai, Puducherry,
(v) M/s. Raja Talkies, No. 246, Anna Salai, Puducherry,
(vi) M/s. Rathnaa Talkies, No: 468, Anna Salai, Puducherry,
(vii) M/s. Ashok Theatre, Villianur, Puducherry,
(viii) M/s. Vasantharaja Theatre, Perambai Road,
Moolakulam, Puducherry, (ix) M/s. Jaya Theatre,
E.C.R., Periyakalapet, Puducherry, from the provisions
of the section 16(1), 17(1), 17(2) and 18 of the
Puducherry Shops and Establishments Act, 1964 for
conducting special morning shows as detailed below:

The conduct of special shows shall be subject to the
following conditions:
(i) Every person employed shall be paid overtime
wages for the period of work done by him in excess
of 8 hours in a week.
(ii) The person employed shall be given rest interval
of at least half-an-hour for every four hours of work.
(iii) The Management should obtain permission
from the authorities concerned wherever necessary.
(iv) In case, the said screening of the new film
does not take place, this notification shall have no effect.

NOTICE
Attention of M/s. V. Thangaraj, Puducherry, is drawn
to the (1) Your Online Bid I.D. No. 15195, dated
26-07-2018, (2) This Directorate’s Supply Order of even
number, dated 10-10-2018 (3) Your letter, dated 23-10-2018,
(4) This Directorate’s Notice of even number, dated
25-10-2018 (5) Your letter, dated 05-11-2018.
2. Whereas, through e-tender system, M/s. V. Thangaraj,
Puducherry, is the successful tenderer for supply of 18
items of paper and board for the year 2018-19. Accordingly,
supply order was placed for ` 72,99,678 towards the supply
of 18 paper and board items with instruction to execute
an agreement and to remit the balance Security Deposit
@ ` 1,65,000 after adjusting the earnest money deposit
amount of
` 2,00,000.
3. Whereas, M/s. V. Thangaraj, Puducherry had neither
executed the agreement nor remitted the Security Deposite
amount of
` 1,65,000.
4. Whereas, on 23-10-2018, M/s. V.Thangaraj,
Puducherry, had addressed a letter to the Director of
Stationery and Printing, Puducherry, stating that the paper
and board items (18 items) could not be supplied by them
due to increase in cost of paper and board items.
5. Whereas, on 25-10-2018, this Directorate had issued
a Notice to M/s. V.Thangaraj, Puducherry, giving 10 days
time to supply the items, otherwise, this Directorate has
to enforce the terms and conditions stipulated in para
38 of Tender Schedule, viz., in case of defaulting tenderer/
contractor, earnest money deposit/security deposit shall
be forfeited in addition to blacklisting the firm for
consecutive 3 years and the Director of Stationery and
Printing shall be entitled to appoint a new firm to effect
supply and the excess amount that the Director of Stationery
and Printing has to incur shall be recovered from the
Defaulting Contractor.
6. Whereas, in response to this Directorate’s Notice,
M/s. V. Thangaraj had again addressed a letter, dated
5-11-2018 to the Director of Stationery and Printing,
Puducherry, stating that the cost of paper and board items
revised and increased in the meantime and enclosed a
mail copy received from M/s. Sri Venkateswara Agencies,
Villupuram, as supporting document.
7. Whereas, M/s. V. Thangaraj, Puducherry, had failed
to adhere to the terms and conditions of the e-Tender for
supply of paper and board items for the year 2018-19
and they had not come forward to effect the supply.
8. Now, therefore, the undersigned hereby cancels the
Supply Order issued on 10-10-2018 to M/s. V. Thangaraj,
Puducherry, for supply of 18 items of paper and board
for the year 2018-19, besides forfeits the earnest money
deposit amount @ ` 2,00,000 and blacklists the firm for
subsequent 3 years for participation in future tender of
this Directorate.
9. No further correspondence in this regard will be
entertained by this Directorate.
10. The receipt of this Notice shall be acknowledged.
11. This has got the approval of Secretary to
Government, Stationery and Printing vide I.D. Note
No. D.15015/1/2018/S&P, dated 15-11-2018.

TENDER NOTICE
Sealed tenders are invited for the sale of
unserviceable/damaged furniture, dead stock library
books, lab articles, canteen vessels and Sports articles
in the Government Middle School/Government High
School under the control of the Deputy Director of
Education (Women) in as-is-where-is condition.
(i) SR Subramanian Government High School,
Saram, Puducherry.
(ii) Government High School, Mettupalayam,
Puducherry.
(iii) Pandit Duraisamy Government High School,
Pethuchettipet, Puducherry.
(iv) Pensionate De Junes Filles Government
Girls’ High School, Puducherry.
(v) Government High School, Thattanchavady,
Puducherry.

1. The tenders in plain paper should be sealed and
addressed to the Deputy Director of Education
(Women), Directorate of School Education, Puducherry
duly superscribing on the envelope as “Tender for the
purchase of unserviceable/damaged furnitures items,
dead stock items, library books, lab articles, canteen
vessels and sports articles” and sent to reach the
undersigned on or before 19-12-2018 at 3.00 p.m. The
tenders will be opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in
the presence of the tenderers those who are present. The
rates for each School should be quoted separately in
one cover. The auction will be conducted from the
highest rate quoted.
2. The tender will be opened on 19-12-2018
at 4.00 pm. If, the tender opening day happens to be a
Public holiday, the same will be opened on the next
working day.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount
of ` 3,000 (Rupees three thousand only) as earnest
money deposit. The earnest money deposit of the
unsuccessful tenderers will be returned immediately
after the tender sale is over.
4. Tenders received after the due date and time will
summarily be rejected.
5. The successful tenderer should pay the entire
amount and clear the items within 24 hours at their own
risk and cost, failing which the earnest money deposit
will be forfeited.
