Terms and Conditions

1. The official tender notice published in this regard

vide Official Gazette, Puducherry No. 39, dated

24-9-2019 has been rescheduled as detailed below on

release of Model Code of Conduct due to Bye-election

in Puducherry.

2. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed as

“Tender for the purchase of old newspapers” and

addressed to the Additional Director of Agriculture

(T&V), Thattanchavady, Puducherry-605 009, should

reach this office before 12.30 p.m. on or before

10-12-2019. The tenders received after the due date and

time will summarily be rejected. The tenders will be

opened on the same day at 4.00 p.m. in the presence of

all the tenderers.

3. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 200 (Rupees two hundred only) in cash as earnest

money deposit before participating in the tender sale

and the same will be refunded to the unsuccessful

tenderers immediately after the tender sale is over.

4. The intending tenderers may inspect the old

newspapers during office hours on any working day

after 6-12-2019 with the permission of the undersigned.

5. No claim on the quality and quantity of the

newspapers will be admitted once the tender is finalized.

6. The successful tenderer should arrange to weigh

the old newspapers and pay the cost and GST

applicable immediately and remove the old newspapers

within 24 hours at his own expenses from the office

premises, failing which the earnest money deposit will

be forfeited in full.

7. The undersigned reserves the right either to accept

or reject all tenders or to postpone the tender without

assigning any reasons thereof.

8. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final and binding.

TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram

(excluding Taxes) are invited for the sale of old

newspapers, magazines and old books belonging to

Tagore Government Arts and Science College,

Puducherry.

2. The approximate quantity of the items are furnished

below:

tenders should be addressed to

The Principal, Tagore Government Arts and Science

College, Puducherry, duly superscribing on the envelope

as “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers,

magazines and old books.” The sealed tenders will be

received by this office up to 11.00 a.m. on 16-12-2019. The

tenders will be opened at 11.30. a.m. on the same day

by the undersigned. If, the day for opening the tenders

happens to be a public holiday for any reason, the

tenders will be received and opened by the same time

on the next working day.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit.

5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender

sale is over.

6. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject all or any tender(s) without assigning any reason

thereof.

8. The successful tenderer should remit the full

amount immediately and clear the items within 24 hours

at his own risk and cost, failing which he/she well forfeit

his/her earnest money deposit.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality of the

articles will be admitted once the tender is finalized.

10. Taxes at the rate applicable will be charged.

11. The intending tenderers can inspect

the

articles during the office hours in the library premises

of this institution.

12. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

Principal, Tagore Government Arts and Science College,

Puducherry, will be the final.
