(UNDER SECTION 144 OF Cr. P.C.)

Whereas, in view of the visit of the Hon’ble President of India to

Puducherry which is scheduled on 23-12-2019 and 24-12-2019, various security

arrangements are being taken by this administration.

And whereas, as a measure to beef-up security, there shall be restriction

on use of aerial photography in any form such as use of drones, videography,

etc., and hence, there is sufficient ground for proceeding for which immediate

prevention is required.

Therefore, I, Dr. T. Arun, I.A.S. District Magistrate, Puducherry, in exercise

of the powers conferred upon me under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure

Code, 1973, do hereby prohibit aerial photography or videography in any form such

as by use of drone cameras, flying balloons or by any other aviation devices in

Puducherry region on 23-12-2019 and 24-12-2019, on account of visit of the

Hon’ble President of India to Puducherry.

The emergent nature of case and circumstances do not permit serving of

notice to the concerned in due time and hence, this order is passed ex parte under

section 144 (2) of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973.
