NOTIFICATION

In pursuance of the Order No.32012/l/2019-

IFS.I(AGMUT), dated 14-01-2020 of the Ministry of

Environment, Forests and Climate Change, New Delhi,

Shri G. Kumar, I.F.S. (AGMU : 1988), Conservator of

Forests and Chief Wild Life Warden, Puducherry,

is relieved from this Administration on the afternoon of

31-01-2020 to take up his new assignment in the

Government of Arunachal Pradesh.

2. Shri G. Sathiyamoorthy, I.F.S. (AGMU : 2010),

Deputy Conservator of Forests, Puducherry, in addition

to the charges already held by him, shall hold charge of

the post of Conservator of Forests and Chief Wild Life

Warden, until further orders.

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the industrial Sector plays a vital role in the

economic development and Government of Puducherry,

is very keen on development of industries in this Union

territory of Puducherry by inviting investments.

Ministry of Home Affairs has sent a D.O. letter to the

Administration of Union territory of Puducherry

wherein, it is stated that the companies and State owned

companies from certain

countries are making

investment under automatic route in various important

sectors of economy, which may be potentially sensitive.

In some cases, such companies are making investment

in areas that are geographically sensitive or in sectors,

which are sensitive, such proposals need to be

subjected to close and careful scrutiny from the

National security perspective. It is further stated that

the Ministry of Home Affairs has over the years

evolved a reliable and robust mechanism of assessing

security aspects in respect of such companies and

proposals, in an expeditious manner and advised to

forward such proposals to Ministry of Home Affairs for

assessment of security clearance before allowing such

companies to make investment or awarding them

contracts for project execution.

2. The Government of India issued guideline/format

for seeking National Security clearance for making

investment by companies and State owned companies.

3. Now, therefore, the proposals for investment/

projects in the areas which are geographically sensitive

or in sectors which are sensitive should henceforth be

forwarded to Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of

India, in the prescribed format for assessment of

Security clearance before allowing such companies to

make investment or awarding them contracts for project

execution.
