DIRECTORATE FOR THE WELFARE OF THE

BACKWARD CLASSES AND MINORITIES

Puducherry, the 20th March 2020.

TENDER-CUM-AUCTION NOTICE

Sealed tenders are invited by the undersigned for the

sale of unserviceable/obsolete articles such as wooden/

steel furniture, kitchen use vessels, electrical/electronics

and miscellaneous items listed in a lot system belongs

to the Backward Classes Hostels at Kirumambakkam,

Kurunji Nagar and Bahour run by this Directorate in as-

is-where-is condition. List of articles under Tender-cum-

Auction is available with this Directorate, may be

collected by the tenderers during office hours.

2. The intending tenderers can inspect the items at

the Backward Classes Hostels at Kirumambakkam,

Kurunji Nagar and Bahour between 10.30 a.m. and

4.00 p.m on all working days from 23-03-2020 to

31-03-2020 with the permission of the concerned Welfare

Officers of Backward Classes Hostels at Kirumambakkam,

Kurunji Nagar and Bahour.

3. The tenderers may offer their bidding rate both in

figure and words for

purchase of obsolete/

unserviceable items on lot basis in a plain paper or in

their Letter Head and it may be submitted in a sealed

cover addressed to the Director, Directorate for the

Welfare of Backward Classes and Minorities,

Puducherry, superscribed as “Tenders for purchase of

obsolete/unserviceable articles”. The tenders should

reach this office on or before 08-04-2020 by 12.30 p.m.

The tenders offered after the due date and time will be

rejected.

4. Each tenderer should enclose a Demand Draft for

an amount of ` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only)

drawn in favour of the Assistant Director, Directorate

for the Welfare of Backward Classes and Minorities,

Puducherry as earnest money deposit. The tenderer

should submit the following self attested photocopy of

the documents/certificates must be enclosed along with

tenders.

(a) Valid GST/Sales Tax Registration Certificate.

(b) PAN Card - Identity proof

Driving Licence - Identity proof

Tenders without the earnest money deposit and

above-mentioned copies of certificate/documents will be

rejected.

5. Tender will be opened on 08-04-2020 at 4.00 p.m.

in the office of the undersigned in the presence of

the tenderers who are present at the time of opening.

If, the opening day happens to be a public holiday, the

tenders will be opened on the next working day at the

same time.

6. If, the highest tender amount offered by the

tenderer is found to be not acceptable to the

undersigned, the public auction will be conducted on

the spot, keeping the highest tender amount quoted as

minimum bid.

7. Any false representation is found during the

tender process, the tender offered by him/her will be

cancelled and his/her earnest money deposit will be

forfeited.

8. If, any/all participant(s) misbehaves during the

tender process, the tenderer(s) will be removed from the

place of auction, also his/her tender will be rejected and

the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

9. The earnest money deposit of the successful

tenderer will be adjusted against the sale proceeds and

the earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be returned immediately,

10. Any other person, other than the tenderer or his/

her authorized person, will not be admitted at the time

of opening the tenders/auction.

11. Acceptance of the tender/auction will be intimated

to the successful tenderer after finalization of the

tender/auction. Successful tenderer only will be allowed

to clear/remove the sold materials.

12. The successful tenderer should pay the cost of

articles plus applicable Sales Tax/GST and make hie/her

own arrangements to clear/remove the articles

immediately on five working days otherwise the earnest

money deposit will be forfeited.

13. The office will not be in any way held

responsible for the safe custody or any loss of the sold

articles. Once the tender/auction sale is finalized, no

claim on the quantity and quality of the materials will

be entertained.

14. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any

or all the tenders without assigning any reasons

therefor and the decision of the undersigned in this

regard will be the final and binding on all tenders/

auction.
