G.O. Ms. No.14/Fy., dated 08-09-2009 of the

Department of Rural Development, Chief Secretariat (Fisheries) and

pu blished

Extraordinary Part-II, Gazette No. 29 of the Government

of Puducherry, dated 10-09-2009 (hereafter referred to as the said Scheme),

namely:—

I.

(i) This Scheme may

be called the “Welfare and Relief for Fishermen during Lean Season and

Natural Calamities (Amendment) Scheme, 2020”.

(ii) It shall extend to the whole o f the Union territo ry of

Puducherry.

(iii) It shall come into force with effect from the date of its

publication in the Official Gazette.

II. AMENDMENT

1.

(a) In the said Scheme, for sub-clause (i) of clause 4,

the following shall be substituted:–

“(i) Beneficiary shall be a fisherman whose annual income does

not exceed

2,00,000 per annum”

(b) In the said Scheme, for sub-clause (ii) of clau se 4,

the following shall be substituted:–

“(ii) Beneficiary shall be in possession of Ration Card issued

by Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs,

Puducherry”.

(c) In the said Scheme, for sub-clause (iii) of clau se 4,

the following shall be substituted:–

“(iii) Beneficiary shall ho ld a membership certificate as

pro of obtained from Fishermen Co -operative So ciety in the

Union territory of Puducherry”:

(d) In the said Scheme, sub-clause (iv) of clause 4, shall be deleted.

2.

In the said Scheme for clause 6,

the following shall be substituted, namely:–

“6.

Application shall be called for

from fishermen and such applications shall be scrutinized by the

Enquiry Officer and shall recommend for consideration for the

grant of Ban/Lean Season Assistance".

3.

In the said Scheme, for clause 8, the

following shall be substituted, namely:–

“8.

Benefits shall be sent to the

beneficiaries Bank Account directly through ECS. The mode of

payment of relief shall also be followed as per the orders issued

by the Finance Department from time to time”.

4. All other terms and conditions stipulated in the G.O. Ms. No.14/Fy.,

dated 08-09-2009 of the Department o f Rural Development, Chief

Secretariat (Fisheries), Puducherry, remain unaltered.

5. This issues with the concurrence of the Finance Department,

Puducherry
