territory of Puducherry was initially constituted for a period of three years

(Welfare), Puducherry. The tenure of the Committee was subsequently extended

for 2nd and 3rd time

And whereas, consequent on the vacant arises due to resignation and fails

to attend the proceedings of the Committee consecutively by the Members, it has

become necessary to filled with sufficient Members and to re-constitute Child

Welfare Committee in the Union territory of Puducherry;

And, now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 27 of the

Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015, Rule 16 of the Puducherry

Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Rules, 2 017 and as per

recommendation of the Selection Committee constituted

dated 15-02-2017 of the Social Welfare Secretariat, Puducherry, the Lieutenant-Governor,

Puducherry, is pleased to re-constitute Child Welfare Committees in the Puducherry,

years from 19-02-2018 and the appointment of Members shall co-terminus with the

tenure of the Committees. The Committees shall hold its sittings in the premises of

Observation Home at Ariyankuppam, Pudu cherry or the Office of the Assistant

Director (Welfare) in the respective regions.

The other terms and conditions mentioned in the G.Os. referred in the first

paragraph shall remain unaltered.

(Welfare), Puducherry. The tenure of the Boards was subsequently extended for

2nd and 3rd time

G.O. Ms. No. 9/2015 -Wel. (SW-V), dated 20-02 -2015 and

G.O. Ms. No. 16/SWS/2017-18, dated 12-02-2018 of the Social Welfare Secretariat,

Puducherry;
