NOTIFICATION
The following Six Water Bodies described in the Annexure to this Notification are owned and controlled by
the Public Works Department, Karaikal and exclusive right of leasing is vested with the Public Works Department,
Karaikal. Any desilting/removal of silt work in the Water Bodies owned by the Public Works Department to be
undertaken only after getting due approval from the Sub/Deputy Collector (Revenue), Karaikal, on remitting
prescribed Royalty Fee and with the consent of the Public Works Department, Karaikal. The work will be supervised
by the Executive Engineer, Irrigation and Public Health Division, Public Works Department, Karaikal or his
representative. The silt shall be removed by the applicant at his/her own cost and no damage shall be caused to the
bund or to the capacity of the Water Body during the silt removal and that the applicant shall compensate for the
damages if, it so happens.
