TENDER NOTICE

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram

(including Sales tax) are invited for the purchase of old

newspapers and magazines (except the Gazette of

Puducherry) in Tamil and English belonging to the

Library from 01-04-2019 to 31-03-2020.

The rate should be quoted for each item as follows:

The sealed tenders should be addressed to the

Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts and Science

College, Karaikal, duly superscribed on the envelope as

“Tender for purchase of old newspapers and magazines”

and to reach this office on or before 12-08-2020 at

11.00 a.m. Tenders will be opened at 11.00 a.m. on the

same day in the presence of the tenderers at the Office

of the Principal, Arignar Anna Government Arts and

Science College, Karaikal.

The intending tenderers should deposit an amount

of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) as earnest money

deposit. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tender sale

is over. Tenders received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reason thereof.

The old newspapers and magazines will be weighed by

the electronic weighing machine available in the

College.

The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

immediately and clear the items within 24 hours at

his/her own cost and risk, failing which the earnest

money deposit will be forfeited. No claim on the quantity

and quality of the articles will be admitted, once the

tender is finalised.

Sales tax at the rate applicable will be charged.

The intending tenderers can inspect the articles on

all working days during the library hours. In case of

any dispute, the decision of the Principal, Arignar

Anna Government Arts and Science College, Karaikal,

will be the final.

3. The intending bidders may inspect the items at

the office of the undersigned between 10.30 am and

11.30 am on 04-08-2020 and 05-08-2020 with the

permission of the officer concerned. Copies of the

tender schedule can be had in person on payment of

` 100 (Rupees one hundred only) plus Sales tax/VAT

as admissible (non-refundable).

4. Sealed tenders in the prescribed Tender Form

should be addressed to the Medical Superintendent,

Indira Gandhi Government General Hospital and

Postgraduate Institute, Puducherry, superscribed as

“Tender for purchase of Waste Material” should be

reach this office on or before 06-08-2020 by 3.00 p.m.

Each tender should be enclosed a Demand Draft for an

amount of ` 10,000 (Rupees ten thousand) drawn in

favour of the Junior Accounts Officer, IGGGHAPGI,

Puducherry, as earnest money deposit.

5. Tenders will be opened on 06-08-2020 at 4.00 p.m.

at the office of the undersigned in the presence of the

tenderers who are present at the time of opening.

6. If, the highest tender amount offered by the

tenderers is found to be not acceptable by the

undersigned, public auction will be conducted on the

spot, keeping the highest tender amount as minimum bid.

7. The following self-attested photocopy of the

certificates/documents must be enclosed along with the

tender. Tender without the certificate/document will

summarily be rejected:-

(a) Valid GST Certificate

(b) PAN Card

Family Ration Card/Valid Driving Licence.

8. Individuals/Partner of a firm(s) who have/has been

punished under Criminal Procedure Code or any criminal

case is under process, is not eligible for participating

in the tender-cum-Auction. Any false representation is

found during the tender process, the tender offered by

him/them will be cancelled and his/her their EMD will

be forfeited.

9. If any/all participant(s) misbehave(s) during the

tender process, the tenderer(s) will be removed from the

place of auction, also his/her/their tender will be

rejected and the EMD will be forfeited.

10. The successful tenderer’s EMD amount will be

returned after end of the valid period i.e., 07-08-2020 to

06-08-2021 or adjust in the last removal of the items’

value. The EMD of unsuccessful tenderers will be

discharged/returned immediately. Also the successful

tenderer/bidder has to remove the waste items in a

monthly basis by settling the amount.

11. Other than tenderer or his/her authorized person

will not be admitted at the time of opening the tender

and auction.

12. Acceptance of the tender will be intimated to the

successful bidder after finalization of the tender.

Successful tenderer only will be allowed to clear/remove

the materials.

13. The successful tenderer should pay the cost of

articles plus applicable GST and make his/her own

arrangement to clear/remove the articles immediately.

Otherwise, the EMD will be forfeited.

14. This office will not be in any way held

responsible for the safe custody or any loss of the sold

articles. Once the tender is finalized, no claim on the

quantity and quality of the materials will be entertained.

15. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any

or all tenders without assigning any reason thereof and

the decision of the undersigned in this regard will be

final and binding on all the tenders.
