3. If, the rate offered by the highest tenderer is found

lower than the upset price fixed by the Condemnation

Committee, then the public auction will be conducted

by the Tender Committee in the presence of the

tenderers if any, to finalize the highest bid.

AUCTION NOTICE

Old, obsolete and unserviceable articles and old

Tamil/English newspapers belonging to this Department

mentioned below will be sold in public auction

in as-is-where-is condition at 4.00 p.m. on 06-08-2020

in the premises of the Commercial Tax Complex,

100 Feet Road, Ellapillaichavady, Pudupalayam,

Puducherry-605 005. The auction will be conducted in

the presence of the officers of this Department.

Terms and Conditions

1. The intending bidders should deposit an amount

of ` 500 (Rupees five hundred only) towards earnest

money deposit to the Cashier, Office of the

Commissioner (ST), Commercial Taxes Department,

Puducherry, before 3.00 p.m. on 06-08-2020 along with

GST Registration Certificate. Only those persons who

have deposited earnest money will be allowed to

participate in the auction.

2. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

bidders will be refunded immediately after the auction

is finalized.

3. The auction will be conducted for all the items in

a lot and knocked down in favour of the highest bidder.

The successful bidder should pay the full amount

immediately and remove the articles within 24 hours at

his/her own risk and cost, failing which the quote will

be rejected.

4. The Government will in no way be held

responsible for the safe custody of the stores once the

auction is confirmed.

5. Only GST registered vendors will be allowed to

participate in the auction along with GST Registration

Certificate.

6. No claim about the condition and value of the

stores will be admitted once the bid is finalized.

7. The intending bidders may inspect the obsolete/

unserviceable articles during office hours with prior

permission of the undersigned.

8. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any or all bids without assigning any reason

therefor.

9. If, the auction day happens to be a public holiday

for any reason, the auction will be conducted on the

next working day.

10. The bidders are strictly forbidden to form any

group discussion or quarrel inside the hall during

auction. If any violation, they will not be allowed to

participate in the auction and will be sent outside.

11. GST will be collected from the highest bidder. The

successful bidder shall produce copy of GST paid

challan as per the Tax worked out by the Department

before taking delivery and also submit an undertaking

to the office that he will pay the due tax by filing GST

return on RCM basis.

12. The successful bidder should make his/her own

arrangement to weigh the old newspapers.

13. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.
