Sealed tenders quoting the rate per kilogram
(excluding Sales-tax) are invited from the Karaikal region
tenderers for sale of old newspapers (Tamil & English)
and old periodicals (Tamil & English) belonging to the
Government Public Library/Branch Libraries of Karaikal
region.

2. Sealed tenders should be addressed to the
Assistant Library and Information Officer, Department
of Art and Culture, Karaikal, duly mentioned on the
envelope as “Tender for purchase of old newspapers
and periodicals 2020” and to reach the Office of the
Assistant Library and Information Officer, Government
Public Library, 1st Floor, Church Street, Karaikal, on or
before 2-12-2020 at 11.30.a.m. the tenders will be opened
at 3.00 p.m. on the same day in the presence of the
tenderers present if any, in the Office of the Assistant
Library and Information Officer, Karaikal.
3. The intending tenderers should deposit a sum of
` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as an earnest
money deposit to the Cashier, Department of Art and
Culture, Karaikal, at the time of submitting their tenders.
The tenders without earnest money deposit will
summarily be rejected.
4. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful
tenderers will be returned immediately after the tender
sale is over, whereas, the earnest money deposit of the
successful tenderer will also be returned after the official
process is completed in all respects.
5. The tenders received after the due date and time
will not be entertained.
6. The undersigned/authorized official reserves the
right to accept or reject any tender in part or whole
without assigning any reason thereof.
7. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount
including Sales-tax as applicable under the rules in
force and clear the items within 15 days from the
Libraries under the control of this office at their own
risk and cost, failing which the entire amount of earnest
money deposit will be forfeited.

8. Once the tender process is completed, no claim
related with the quantity and quality of newspapers/
periodicals will be admitted.
9. The intending tenderers can inspect the items
during the office hours in the Government Public/Branch
Libraries under the control of this office with the prior
permission of the in-charge of the concerned Libraries.
10. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
Assistant Libraray and Information Officer/Authorized
Official will be the final.
11. GST/Tax /Sales tax will be collected on the sale
of old newspapers and periodicals as per the rates
prevailing at the time of sale/disposal.

to Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Kalapet,
Puducherry.

2. The tenders in sealed cover superscribed with the
words “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers/
waste papers” should be addressed to the Principal,
Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Mathur Road,
Kalapet, Puducherry-605 014, so as to reach this office
on or before 10-12-2020 at 10.30 a.m. and the tenders
will be opended at 4.00 p.m. on the same day in the
presence of tenderers present.
3. If, the above tender date is declare as a public
holiday by the Government, then the tender sale will be
conducted on the next working day of the above date
without any intimation.
4. The rate per kilogram should be quoted for Tamil
newspapers, English newapapers and other waste
papers separately.
5. The intending tenderers can inspect the newspapers,
during office hours on all working days between 4.00 p.m.
and 5.00 p.m. at Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College,
Mathur Road, Kalapet, Puducherry-605 014, with the
permission of the undersigned. The intending tenderers
should deposit an earnest money of ` 100 (Rupees one
hundred only) in cash along with the sealed tender. The
earnest money deposit collected from the unsuccessful
tenderers will be refunded immediately after the tenderer
has been selected.
6. The successful tenderer should arrange to weigh
the old newspapers and waste papers, and pay the cost
thereof along with the applicable Sales tax and remove
the old newspapers and waste papers within 24 hours
from the time of the tender sale is over. On failure to
this arrangements, the earnest money deposit paid will
be forfeited. Also for the old newspapers and waste
papers which have been disposed off after the due
receipt or payment, this Department will not undertake
any responsibility for any loss or shortage or damage.
On complete clearance, the earnest money deposit will
be refunded.
7. The tenders received after the due date and time
will summarily be rejected.
8. The undersigned reserves the full right whether
to accept or reject any or all the tenders without
assigning any reasons.
9. In case of any dispute, the decision of the
Principal, Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College,
Puducherry, shall be the final.
