NOTIFICATION

It is hereby notified for the information of the public under section 5(a) of the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 (Act

No. 6 of 1878), that the metal idols as described in the following Schedule were found while digging pond for

Integrated Agriculture Farm Pond Under MKSP Scheme through Block Development Office, Karaikal at the land

belonging to Sri Prathambasimeswarar Sri Lakshmi Narayana Perumal, HRI Temple in Thiruvasal Nagar, Sethur,

Thirunallar Taluk on 23-09-2020.

All persons who claims the finding or any part thereof are hereby required to appear before the

Deputy Collector (Revenue), Karaikal performing the functions of the Collector under the Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878 at his

chamber on any working day not being earlier than four months or later than six months after the date of first

publication of this notification in the Puducherry Official Gazette and prefer their claims.

The matter will be taken up for consideration and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the

Indian Treasure Trove Act, 1878.

Sealed tenders offering the rate per kilogram are

invited from the local tenderers for sale of the following

old items belonging to the Chief Secretariat,

2. The sealed tenders should be addressed to

the Under Secretary to Government (Establishment),

Chief Secretariat, Puducherry, duly superscribing on the

envelope as “Tender for the purchase of old newspapers

and magazines etc.,” and to reach the undersigned on

or before 18-12-2020 at 12.00 noon. The tenders will be

opened at 4.00 p.m. on the same day, in the presence

of the tenderers, in the office of the undersigned at the

Chief Secretariat, Puducherry.

3. If neccessary, auction will be conducted among the

tenderers based on the highest quotings on the sealed

tender to fix the highest rate.

4. The intending tenderers should deposit an amount of

` 1,000 (Rupees one thousand only) as earnest money

deposit. Tenderer should have a copy of any valid I. D.

and Address proof along with GST particulars.

5. The earnest money deposit of the unsuccessful

tenderers will be refunded immediately soon after the

tender sale is over. Tenderer should produce valid I.D.

proof for returning their earnest money deposit amount.

6. Tender(s) received after the due date and time will

be rejected.

7. The undersigned reserves the right to accept or

reject any tender without assigning any reasons thereof.

8. The successful tenderer should pay the full amount

immediately as and when call made and clear the old

items within 24 hours at his own risk and cost, failing

which the earnest money deposit will be forfeited.

9. No claim on the quantity and quality for the

articles will be admitted once the tender sale is finalised.

10. The indenting tenderers can inspect the articles

during office hours in the Chief Secretariat, Puducherry.

11. In case of any dispute, the decision of the

undersigned will be the final.

12. The rate for each item should be quoted

separately.

13. The rates finanlised/approved shall be valid for

a period of one year from the date of acceptance/

communication of the rates so approved.

14. GST will be collected on the sale of old newspapers,

magazines, waste papers and scrap material as per the

rates prevailing at the time of disposal/sale. Tenderers

with registered Goods and Service Tax (GST) in

Puducherry region only must particiapte in the tender.
