NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 200 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988
(Central Act No. 59 of 1988) and in supersession of the Notification issued under G.O. Ms. No. 17/Tr.
Sectt./2015, dated 20th August 2015 of the Transport Secretariat, Government of Puducherry and published in
the Gazette of Puducherry No. 34, dated 25th August, 2015, save as respects things done or omitted to be done
before such supersession, the Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, hereby specifies that the offences punishable
under sections mentioned in column (3) of the Table (A) below, in respect of all category of vehicles, may
either before or after institution of prosecution be compounded by the officers as mentioned in Table (B) below
as specified herein for the amount specified in the corresponding entries under column (4) or (5) as the case
may be, of the Table (A), namely:–
