NOTIFICATION
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 32 of the Bureau of Indian
Standards Act, 2016 (Act No.11 of 2016) read with the Notification in S.O. 83(E),
dated 7th January, 2019 of the Government of India, Ministry of Consumer Affairs,
Food and Public Distribution, Department of Consumer Affairs, New Delhi
and with the approval of the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Madras, the
Lieutenant-Governor, Puducherry, is pleased to empower the Judicial Magistrates
mentioned under column (2) of the Table below to try any offence under the said
Act within the Area specified under column (3) of the said Table, namely:–
